Rory Phillips (DJ)
Rory Phillips is a London-based DJ and producer. Career After getting his start playing records at clubs in Newport, Rory moved to London where upon making the acquaintance of Erol Alkan he began a residency at Trash at The End. When Trash finished in 2007, he was the driving force behind its successor, DURRR, which ran until December 2013. He was also a touring member of the electronic rock group Whitey, playing synthesizer and contributing to recordings. Remixing and Production Phillips' acclaim as a DJ led to invitations to remix acts including Scissor Sisters, The Gossip, Franz Ferdinand, and White Lies. In 2010 his remix of YACHT's "Psychic City" featured on a commercial for Cadillac and his reworking of The xx was included on the soundtrack of Pro Evolution Soccer 2011. West Midlands (county)
West Midlands is a metropolitan county in the West Midlands Region, England, with a 2021 population of 2,919,600, making it the second most populous county in England after Greater London. Franz Ferdinand (Band)
Franz Ferdinand are a Scottish rock band formed in Glasgow in 2002. The band's original line-up was composed of Alex Kapranos (lead vocals, guitar), Nick McCarthy (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), Bob Hardy (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Paul Thomson (drums, percussion, backing vocals). Julian Corrie (keyboards, guitar, backing vocals) and Dino Bardot (guitar, backing vocals) joined the band in 2017 after McCarthy left during the previous year, and Audrey Tait (drums) joined the band after Thomson left in 2021. The Plastiscines are a French all-female rock band who perform their songs in both French and English. They have released three albums, spanning from garage rock revival and pop punk to disco-orientered pop music. History The Plastiscines are Katty Besnard (singer/guitar), Louise Basilien (bass), and Ana Vandevyvere (drums). Former members include Marine Neuilly (guitar), and Caroline and Zazie Tavitian (both drums). The Units
Units were an American synthpunk band that was founded in San Francisco in 1978. It was active until 1984. They were one of America's earliest electronic New wave music, new wave bands, and have been cited (along with The Screamers and Suicide (band), Suicide) as pioneers of synthpunk, also retrospectively known as "electropunk". Alexander Robotnick (a.k.a. ''Maurizio Dami'') is an Italian electronic musician. He made his debut on the Italian music scene as the founding member of Avida, a dance-cabaret band featuring Daniele Trambusti and Stefano Fuochi. In 1983 he attained international popularity with his track "Problèmes d'amour", published first by the Italian label Materiali Sonori and then by Sire-Wea. Victoria Christina Hesketh (born 4 May 1984), better known by her stage name Little Boots, is an English electropop singer-songwriter and DJ. She was previously a member of the band Dead Disco. The Teenagers are an American music group, most noted for being one of rock music's earliest successes, presented to international audiences by DJ Alan Freed. The group, which made its most popular recordings with young Frankie Lymon as lead singer, is also noted for being rock's first all-teenaged act. Cazals was a six-piece Indie rock band formed in 2003 East London, England. They toured with Babyshambles and Daft Punk. In 2007, they signed to French label Kitsuné Music. Andreas Kleerup (born 1979), professionally known as Kleerup, is a Swedish electropop musician. Career Kleerup's career as a producer, composer, songwriter and artist began in music as a songwriter, going on to tour with Teddybears and Robyn as a musician. In 2007, Kleerup released "With Every Heartbeat" featuring Robyn, which reached No. 1 in the UK.
