Rory Phillips (DJ)
Rory Phillips is a London-based DJ and producer. Career After getting his start playing records at clubs in Newport, Rory moved to London where upon making the acquaintance of Erol Alkan he began a residency at Trash at The End. When Trash finished in 2007, he was the driving force behind its successor, DURRR, which ran until December 2013. He was also a touring member of the electronic rock group Whitey, playing synthesizer and contributing to recordings. Remixing and Production Phillips' acclaim as a DJ led to invitations to remix acts including Scissor Sisters, The Gossip, Franz Ferdinand, and White Lies. In 2010 his remix of YACHT's "Psychic City" featured on a commercial for Cadillac and his reworking of The xx was included on the soundtrack of Pro Evolution Soccer 2011. West Midlands is a metropolitan county in the West Midlands Region, England, with a 2021 population of 2,919,600, making it the second most populous county in England after Greater London. Franz Ferdinand (Band)
Franz Ferdinand are a Scottish rock band formed in Glasgow in 2002. The band's original line-up was composed of Alex Kapranos (lead vocals, guitar), Nick McCarthy (guitar, keyboards, backing vocals), Bob Hardy (bass guitar, backing vocals), and Paul Thomson (drums, percussion, backing vocals). Julian Corrie (keyboards, guitar, backing vocals) and Dino Bardot (guitar, backing vocals) joined the band in 2017 after McCarthy left during the previous year, and Audrey Tait (drums) joined the band after Thomson left in 2021. The band is one of the more popular post-punk revival bands, garnering multiple UK top 20 hits. Plastiscines
The Plastiscines are a French all-female rock band who perform their songs in both French and English. They have released three albums, spanning from garage rock revival and pop punk to disco-orientered pop music. History The Plastiscines are Katty Besnard (singer/guitar), Louise Basilien (bass), and Ana Vandevyvere (drums). Former members include Marine Neuilly (guitar), and Caroline and Zazie Tavitian (both drums). They formed in 2007 after Besnard, Neuilly, and Tavitian, all of whom were at school together in Saint-Cyr-l'École, met Basilien, originally a harpist, at a concert by the English band, The Libertines.
