Rory Hughes
Rory Hughes (born 4 March 1993) is a Scottish people, Scottish rugby union player who recently played for Glasgow Warriors at the Rugby union positions#14. & 11. Wing, Wing or Rugby union positions#15. Full-back, Full-back positions. Rugby union career Amateur career Hughes was born in Glasgow and was raised in the Castlemilk district; he attended a school with no rugby programme. From the age of 6 he played for Glasgow Hutchesons Aloysians RFC, GHA, before joining Stirling County RFC, Stirling County and the Scottish Rugby Elite Development system in 2011, aged 18. He was assigned to Glasgow Warriors, joining the professional squad in 2013. He has since spent time back with Stirling County when released to play for them by the Warriors. The Rugby World Cup is a men's rugby union tournament contested every four years between the top international teams. The tournament is administered by World Rugby, the sport's international governing body. The Super 6 is a professional league for Scottish rugby union clubs, which began in 2019. As of 2022, the league consists of three competitions; * FOSROC Super6 Sprint Season - running from April to June, involving a single round robin, followed by two further matches to decide final positions; * FOSROC Super 6 Pro-Alignment Match - a one-off representative game between the best players from the 'Edinburgh' affiliated clubs and 'Glasgow' affiliated clubs, similar in some ways to State of Origin; * FOSROC Super6 Championship, the primary competition of the three, involving a full double round robin, and a series of play-offs.
