Rory Flanagan
Rory Flanagan is a recurring fictional character from the Fox musical comedy-drama series ''Glee''. The character is portrayed by actor Damian McGinty, and appeared in ''Glee'' starting with its third season episode " Pot o' Gold", first broadcast on November 1, 2011. Rory is an exchange student from Ireland who arrives as a sophomore, and is living at the home of Brittany Pierce (Heather Morris) while studying at McKinley High. He joins the McKinley glee club, New Directions, in his first episode. The character was created after McGinty was one of two winners of a seven-episode arc in ''Glee'' third season after having successfully competed in the reality television show ''The Glee Project''. It served as an audition for the Fox musical comedy series ''Glee'', and the prize for the winner was a minimum seven-episode arc in the following season of the show. The show's first season premiered in the US on June 12, 2011, and concluded on August 21, 2011. "Home" is a song by Canadian singer Michael Bublé, and released on January 24, 2005, as the second single from his second studio album, '' It's Time''. The song was written by Bublé, along with co-writers Alan Chang and Amy Foster-Gillies. Background and lyrics "Home" centralizes on the male narrator, who is separated from his lover, possibly his wife, while off travelling. He expresses a desire to return home and be with his lover. The character is portrayed by actor Chord Overstreet, and appeared on ''Glee'' starting with the second season premiere episode entitled "Audition", first broadcast on September 21, 2010. Cory Allan Michael Monteith (; May 11, 1982 July 13, 2013) was a Canadian actor and musician who played Finn Hudson on the Fox television series ''Glee''. As an actor based in British Columbia, Monteith had minor roles on television series before being cast on ''Glee''. During his success on the show, he also acted in films. His film work included ''Monte Carlo'' and a starring role in ''Sisters & Brothers'' (both 2011). Monteith had a troubled adolescence involving substance abuse from age 13, and left school at age 16.
