Heart (Glee)
"Heart" (stylized as "♥" in Fox's video preview materials) is the thirteenth episode of the third season of the American musical television series ''Glee'', and the fifty-seventh overall. Written by Ali Adler and directed by co-creator Brad Falchuk, the episode aired on Fox in the United States on February 14, 2012, and features Valentine's Day love songs performed by the McKinley High glee club. It also features the debuts of special guest stars Jeff Goldblum and Brian Stokes Mitchell as Rachel's two fathers and ''The Glee Project'' winner Samuel Larsen as transfer student Joe Hart. Whitney Houston's version of Dolly Parton's "I Will Always Love You" is performed by Mercedes (Amber Riley) in the episode, and the completed episode had been delivered to the network and was scheduled to run in three days when Houston died unexpectedly on February 11, 2012; a dedication to her was added in the episode's end credits. Burt Hummel is a fictional character from the Fox musical comedy-drama series ''Glee''. The character is portrayed by actor Mike O'Malley, and first appeared on ''Glee'' in the fourth episode of the first season, "Preggers". Samuel Peter Acosta Larsen (born August 28, 1991) is an American actor and singer. On August 21, 2011, Larsen won the reality competition program ''The Glee Project'' on the Oxygen network, which led to his having a recurring role as Joe Hart on the Fox television show ''Glee''. Larsen was also a member of the band Bridges I Burn. He is pursuing his solo career, and released his debut EP, ''Vices'', on October 27, 2014. Damian Joseph McGinty Jr. (born 9 September 1992) is an Irish singer and actor. McGinty has been performing for over a decade, and a member of the group Celtic Thunder for thirteen years starting when he was fourteen. Max Adler (born January 17, 1986) is an American actor. He is best known for his role as Dave Karofsky on the television series ''Glee'' (2009–2015). Early life Adler was born to a Jewish family in Queens, New York, the eldest son of Lisa (née Kobrin) and Doug Adler.
