Full of Hell is an American grindcore band from Ocean City, Maryland and Central Pennsylvania, formed in 2009. They are currently signed to Relapse Records. They have released five studio albums – '' Roots of Earth Are Consuming My Home'' (2011), '' Rudiments of Mutilation'' (2013), '' Trumpeting Ecstasy'' (2017), ''Weeping Choir'' (2019), and ''Garden of Burning Apparitions'' (2021) – as well as three collaborations – ''Full of Hell & Merzbow'' (2014) with Japanese noise artist Merzbow and ''One Day You Will Ache Like I Ache'' (2016) and ''Ascending a Mountain of Heavy Light'' (2017) with sludge metal band The Body – aside from numerous EPs and splits. Grindcore
Grindcore is an extreme fusion genre of heavy metal and hardcore punk that originated in the mid-1980s, drawing inspiration from abrasive-sounding musical styles, such as thrashcore, crust punk, hardcore punk, extreme metal, and industrial. Grindcore is considered a more noise-filled style of hardcore punk while using hardcore's trademark characteristics such as heavily distorted, down-tuned guitars, grinding overdriven bass, high-speed tempo, blast beats, and vocals which consist of growls, shouts and high-pitched shrieks. Powerviolence
Powerviolence (sometimes written as power violence) is an extremely dissonant and fast subgenre of hardcore punk which is closely related to thrashcore and grindcore. In contrast with grindcore, which is a "crossover" idiom containing musical aspects of heavy metal, powerviolence is just an augmentation of the most challenging qualities of hardcore punk. Like its predecessors, it is usually socio-politically charged and iconoclastic. History Siege are considered the pioneers of powerviolence. Additionally, Infest have received credit for having an early impact on the genre. The microgenre solidified into its commonly recognized form in the early 1990s. ''Full of Hell / Code Orange Kids'' is a split EP between the American hardcore bands Full of Hell and Code Orange Kids. The album was released on April 17, 2012, through Topshelf Records. Both bands toured together later in 2012, and Code Orange Kids released a music video directed by Max Moore for the track "V (My Body Is a Well)" that featured live footage recorded from the band's performance at a Louisville, Kentucky house show mixed with shots of "anthropomorphic ''Evil Dead''-like tree branches." Reception The split received generally favorable views. CVLT Nation is an international online magazine established by Sean Reveron and Meghan MacRae in 2011 in Los Angeles, California. Founded primarily as an independent clothing brand inspired by crust punk and extreme metal, its articles and music projects have gained considerable recognition. CVLT Nation is now based in Vancouver, Canada. The publication focuses on music, art and fashion, especially relating to underground musicians and visual artists of extreme metal, crust punk and punk rock's heavier subgenres.
