Roope Tonteri (born 18 March 1992 in Valkeala) is a Finnish snowboarder. He studied in Vuokatti. Tonteri won gold in slopestyle and big air at the 2013 FIS Snowboarding World Championships. He also won gold in big air at 2015 FIS Snowboarding World Championships. Valkeala
Valkeala is a former municipality of Finland. It is located in the province of Southern Finland, and is a neighborhood of city of Kouvola, and it was a part of the Kymenlaakso region. The municipality had a population of 11,238 (2003) and covered an area of 1,004.40 km² of which 143.47 km² was water. The population density was 13.1 inhabitants per km². In the Valkeala region there is the lake ''Vekaranjärvi'' near which the Karelia Brigade is located. Valkeala is famous for Repovesi National Park. The municipality was unilingually Finnish. Vuokatti is an urban area that is a physically separate part of the municipality of Sotkamo, Finland. It is home to more than 6,000 inhabitants, making it the second most populous urban area in the region of Kainuu, after the main urban area of the municipality of Kajaani. Vuokatti is also the name of the nearby forested hill range and the urban area's train station. The highest hill in the area is the 345 meter high Porttivaara, the second highest being Vuokatinvaara. FIS Freestyle Ski And Snowboarding World Championships 2015
The 2015 FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships were held in Kreischberg, Austria from January 15–25, 2015. In 2014, the FIS (International Ski Federation) decided to merge the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships with the FIS Snowboarding World Championships starting with these championships. The Austrian municipality of Kreischberg was awarded the event in 2010. Qualification for the women's aerials event began a day before the opening ceremony.
