Romkerhall Waterfall
Romkerhall (also frequently called ''Romkerhalle'') is a popular tourist destination on the River Oker in the Harz Mountains of Germany. There is a public car park here as well as a hotel and restaurant opposite the Romkerhall Waterfall. Romkerhall lies within the unincorporated area of Harz in the Lower Saxon county of Goslar in the Harz Mountains. The hotel and waterfall form a small tourist attraction which is marketed as the "Kingdom of Romkerhall - the smallest kingdom in the world!" Oker Dam
The Oker Dam (german: Okertalsperre) is a dam in the Harz mountains in Lower Saxony, Germany. It is fed by the River Oker. Technology The dam is in the shape of an arch (see arch-gravity dam). It is 75 m high, 260 m long, can impound up to 47 million m³ of water and provides hydropower, flood protection and water regulation at times of low water. It is also used indirectly for the production of drinking water. Its average annual discharge is 75 million m³. The hydro-electric power station at Romkerhalle is fed by the Oker Reservoir. Staubbach Fall
Staubbach Falls (german: Staubbachfall (sing.), lit.: dust creek fall) is a waterfall in Switzerland, located just west of Lauterbrunnen in the Bernese Highlands. The waterfall drops from a hanging valley that ends in overhanging cliffs above the Weisse Lütschine. The stream, on reaching the verge of the rocky walls of the valley, forms a cascade so high that it is almost lost in spray before it reaches the level of the valley. After rain, and early in the season when fed by melting snow, Staubbach Falls is very striking. The force of the stream above the fall at such times is sufficient to carry the water clear of the precipice, and the whole mass descends in a condition of liquid dust, between spray and cloud, that sways to-and-fro with the gentlest breeze. Kästeklippen
The ''Kästeklippen'', often shortened to ''Käste'', is a rocky tor above the Oker valley in the Upper Harz mountains of central Germany. It lies at a height of . Near the ''Käste'' are other similar granite rock formations such as the ''Hexenküche'' ("Witch's Kitchen"), ''Mausefalle'' ("Mousetrap"), ''Feigenbaumklippe'' and the ''Treppenstein''. Next to the observation platform is a protruding rock which resembles the face of an old man and is called ''Der Alte vom Berge'' ("Old Man of the Mountain"). The rocks consist of granite "wool sacks", typical of the Harz region. The ''Kästeklippen'' (''Klippen'' = crags) are a popular destination in the Harz.
