Romilly Weeks
Romilly Sarah Weeks (15 December 1973 in Paddington, London) is an English journalist who is a political correspondent and news presenter for ITV News. Media career After a career in acting, Weeks entered broadcast journalism. She has travelled extensively while reporting for ITV News. She was embedded with the British Army during the Second Gulf War, reported from Thailand after the 2004 tsunami, and has covered many royal tours in her role as Royal Correspondent. During Queen Elizabeth II's 60th wedding anniversary, Weeks was broadcasting live on air when she was surprised by Prince Philip. In 2003, she became a regular newscaster on the now closed ITV News Channel. From 2006, she combined roles as royal correspondent and news presenter for ITV News; until 2008 she was also a occasional presenter for ITV London. Paddington
Paddington is an area within the City of Westminster, in Central London. First a medieval parish then a metropolitan borough, it was integrated with Westminster and Greater London in 1965. Prince Philip
Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh (born Prince Philip of Greece and Denmark, later Philip Mountbatten; 10 June 1921 – 9 April 2021) was the husband of Queen Elizabeth II. Farringdon is a small district in Central London, the southern part of the London Borough of Islington. The term is used to describe the area around Farringdon station. ITV London is the on-air brand name used by ''ITV Broadcasting Limited'' for two broadcast franchises of ITV, Carlton Television (weekdays) and London Weekend Television (weekends) in the London ITV region. The ITV News Channel was a 24-hour television news channel in the United Kingdom which broadcast from 1 August 2000 to 23 December 2005. It was available on Sky, NTL:Telewest, ITV Digital (until 2002), Freeview (latterly only between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm when ITV4 cut its hours to half day in 2005) and analogue cable, presenting national and international news plus regular business, sport, entertainment and weather summaries.
