Romain Febvre
Romain Febvre (born 31 December 1991) is a French professional motocross racer. He has competed in the FIM Motocross World Championships since 2012. Febvre is notable for winning the 2015 MXGP World Championship. He was a member of the winning French team at the Motocross des Nations in 2015, 2016, 2017 & 2023. Motocross career Born in Epinal, France, Febvre competed in motocross and supermoto as a youth, winning the 2007 French 125cc Supermoto national championship. In 2011, he won the 2011 European Motocross Championship. FIM Motocross World Championship is the premier championship of motocross racing, organized by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), divided into two distinct classes: MXGP and MX2. Race duration is 30 minutes plus two laps per race. The series runs 18 events with two races per class at each round. Supermoto
Supermoto is a form of motorcycle racing held on race tracks that alternate between three kinds of track surfaces: the hard packed dirt of flat track, the irregular jumps and obstacles of motocross, and the paved tarmac of road racing. Supermoto was originally conceived by Gavin Trippe in 1979 as a segment of the TV show Wide World of Sports. It was something like an all-star game, in which the best riders from the three separate genres of motorcycle racing could temporarily leave their normal race class to come together and compete for the title of best all around racer. Today supermoto is a distinct genre of its own and riders in the other classes do not routinely cross over into supermoto. Races are commonly held on road racing or medium-sized go-kart tracks with an off-road section in the infield. Tim Gajser (born 8 September 1996) is a Slovenian professional motocross racer. He has competed in the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, FIM Motocross World Championships since 2012. Gajser is notable for being a five-time motocross world champion. Motocross career Gajser previously competed for the Gariboldi Honda motocross racing team managed by Giacomo Gariboldi. In the 2015 FIM Motocross World Championship season, he won his first world championship in the MX2. Antonio "Tony" Cairoli (born 23 September 1985) is an Italian professional motocross racer. He has competed in the Motocross World Championships since 2002. Cairoli is notable for winning nine FIM motocross world championships, second only to ten-time champion Stefan Everts, making him one of the most successful world championship motocross racers in history. Michele Rinaldi (born 9 March 1959 in Parma) is an Italian former professional motocross racer and current motorcycle race team manager. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 1976 to 1987. Rinaldi is notable for being the first Italian competitor to win an FIM motocross world championship and, for the numerous world championships achieved as a motocross team manager. Biography Rinaldi began competing in the 125cc motocross world championships in 1976, finishing in the top three for four consecutive years between 1980 and 1983, first for the Gilera team, then for the Suzuki team. The 2014 FIM Motocross World Championship was the 58th F.I.M. Motocross World Championship season. It included 17 events including Qatar, Thailand, Brazil, Italy, The Netherlands, Great Britain, France, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Czech Republic, Belgium and Mexico. In the premier MXGP class, Tony Cairoli won his sixth consecutive championship title, matching the previous record set by Stefan Everts between 2001 and 2006. Cairoli, riding a KTM, won a total of 9 rounds and 15 races en route to the title, finishing 119 points clear of his nearest rival, Jeremy Van Horebeek, riding a Yamaha.
