Roksana Bahramitash (born 1956) is an Iranian Canadians, Iranian-born Canadian Sociology, sociologist, author, and professor. Her work focuses on women, employment and the informal economy in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA), as well as gender segregation in Islam, and microeconomics. In Iranian Revolution, post-revolution Iran, Bahramitash was working on improving peasant women's literacy and access to economic development resources. Early life and education She was placed second in nationwide Iranian University entrance exams, and attended Universities in Iran where she earned both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Sociology. Bahramitash came to Canada in 1991 to complete her PhD in Sociology from McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. Roksana Emilia Węgiel (; born 11 January 2005), also known as Roxie, is a Polish singer who rose to fame in her native country after winning season one of the Polish version of ''The Voice Kids'' in 2018. She represented Poland in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with the song "Anyone I Want to Be", and went on to win the competition becoming the first Polish entrant to win the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
