Rohit Kumar is an Indian professional rower. He won the bronze medal in the men's lightweight double sculls along with his partner Bhagwan Singh in the Asian Games 2018. He is also serving in the Indian Army Early life Rohit Kumar was born on 23 July 1996 in Fatehpur village of Ambala district, Haryana. His father is a farmer. Rowing, sometimes called crew in the United States, is the sport of racing boats using oars. It differs from paddling sports in that rowing oars are attached to the boat using oarlocks, while paddles are not connected to the boat.
