Roger Kahn (politician)
Roger Kahn (born January 28, 1945) is a Republican politician who represented District 32 of the Michigan Senate, which consisted of Saginaw and Gratiot counties. He served as the chairman of the Committee on Appropriations. Biography A medical doctor, Roger served as a cardiologist for many years, he also served as a member of the Saginaw County Board of Commissioners. Kahn was elected in 2004 to his only term as State Representative, in 2006 he was elected to his 1st term in the Michigan State Senate. Michigan's 32nd Senate District
Michigan's 32nd Senate district is one of 38 districts in the Michigan Senate. The 32nd district was created by the 1850 Michigan Constitution, as the 1835 constitution only permitted a maximum of eight senate districts. It has been represented by Republican Jon Bumstead since 2023, succeeding fellow Republican Kenneth Horn. Geography District 32 encompasses all of Benzie, Mason, Muskegon, and Oceana counties, as well as part of Manistee County. 2011 Apportionment Plan District 32, as dictated by the 2011 Apportionment Plan, was based in Saginaw, covering all of Saginaw County and parts of western Genesee County. Gratiot County, Michigan
Gratiot County ( ') is a county in the U.S. state of Michigan. As of the 2020 Census, the population was 41,761. The county seat is Ithaca, although its most populous city is Alma. Gratiot County comprises the Alma, MI Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is also part of the Mount Pleasant-Alma, MI Combined Statistical Area. The Gratiot County Courthouse was designed in the classical revival style by Claire Allen, a prominent southern Michigan architect. It is one of seven sites in the county listed on the National Register of Historic Places (No. 76002291 added 1976). In June 2012, the 212.8 MW Gratiot County Wind Project opened, the largest wind power installation in the state. The Michigan Legislature is the legislature of the U.S. state of Michigan. It is organized as a bicameral body composed of an upper chamber, the Senate, and a lower chamber, the House of Representatives. Article IV of the Michigan Constitution, adopted in 1963, defines the role of the Legislature and how it is to be constituted.
