Rogationist College - Silang also referred to by its acronym RC is a private Catholic secondary and higher education institution run by the Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus in Silang, Cavite, Philippines. It was founded by the Rogationists in 1987. The Rogationist are a religious institute of the Roman Catholic Church founded by St. Hannibal Mary di Francia The students are usually called ''RCian/s''. Annibale Maria di Francia, or Hannibal Mary di Francia, (July 5, 1851 – June 1, 1927) is a saint venerated by the Catholic Church. He founded a series of orphanages, and the religious congregations of the Rogationist Fathers and the Daughters of Divine Zeal. His feast day is June 1. Childhood Francia was born on 5 July 1851 in Via Santa Maria delle Trombe, the Portalegni area of Messina. His father Francis was a Knight of the Marquises of St. Catherine of Jonio, Papal Vice-Consul and Honorary Captain of the Navy. The Rogationists of the Heart of Jesus ( it, Rogazionisti del Cuore di Gesù; la, Congregatio Rogationistarum a Corde Iesu; abbreviated RCJ) is a religious congregation of priests and brothers founded by St. Hannibal Mary Di Francia (1851–1927) on May 16, 1897. The word "rogationist" comes from the Latin ''rogate'' which means "pray". The spirituality of the congregation is centered on the words of Jesus Christ in the Gospels: "The harvest is rich but the workers are few. Pray, therefore, to the Lord of the harvest that He may send workers into His harvest" (Matthew 9:37–38; Luke 10:2).
