Roelof Van Lennep
Jonkheer Roelof van Lennep (; 3 October 1876 – 13 September 1951) was a Dutch male tennis player. He competed for the Netherlands in the tennis event at the 1908 Summer Olympics where he took part in the men's singles and men's doubles competitions (partnering with his brother Christiaan). Tennis family and career Roelof was born on 3 October 1876 to Christiaan van Lennep and his second wife Charlotta Louise Küpfer. Roelof had six siblings, and a half-sister, including Madzy, Christine, August Willem and Christiaan van Lennep, all of whom later got involved in tennis . In 1895 he and his family founded the ''Hilversumsche Lawn Tennisclub'' in their own house. Some years after they established three cement courts. Roelof de Man (1634–1663) was a Dutch colonial administrator in South Africa. He was born in Culemborg (formerly also spelled Culenborg or Kuilenburg or Kuylenburgh), Netherlands in 1634 and grew up in the same walled village and era as Dutch Explorers/Founders Jan van Riebeek (1619-1677) and Anthony van Diemen (1593-1645). Jan van Riebeek commanded the initial Dutch settlement fleet of 3 ships (Dromedaris, Reijger and Goede Hoop) which in 1651 travelled to the great southern oceans, landing on 6 April 1652 to establish the settlement of today's Cape Town, Cape of Good Hope. Roelof Wunderink (born 12 December 1948 in Eindhoven, North Brabant) is a Dutch former racing driver. He participated in six Formula One World Championship Grands Prix for Ensign, debuting on 27 April 1975. He scored no championship points. Racing career Wunderink began his career with a Simca in 1970 subsequently moving into Formula Ford and winning the Dutch championship in 1972. With sponsorship from the HB alarm company, he moved into Formula Three and then Formula 5000 in the following two seasons. In , with HB backing, he moved into Formula One with the Ensign team, but was hampered by using obsolete machinery and injuries sustained in a Formula 5000 testing incident. Roelof Erasmus van der Merwe (born 31 December 1984) is a Dutch-South African professional cricketer who has played internationally for both South Africa and the Netherlands, one of the few players to represent more than one international team. Roelof Frankot
Roelof Frankot (25 October 1911, in Meppel – 1 December 1984, in Heeten) was a Dutch painter. Frankot studied photography. In 1930, he started painting. He later had a strong relation with the CoBrA movement, and his artworks are quite similar to some of the art from the CoBrA movement. They are very abstract and spontaneous paintings in strong colours. Oil on canvas was his preferred medium. Publications with his art were occasionally accompanied by small poems that he wrote himself. Frankot has been considered an innovator of Dutch art with all its great traditions. Frankot died at the age of 73 from cancer. Frankot's work was included in the 1939 exhibition and sale ''Onze Kunst van Heden'' (Our Art of Today) at the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. Roelof Johannes Hendrik Kruisinga (27 August 1922 – 7 December 2012) was a Dutch politician of the defunct Christian Historical Union (CHU) party and later the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA) party and physician. Kruisinga attended a Gymnasium in Zutphen from June 1935 until June 1939 and applied at the University of Groningen in June 1941 majoring in Medicine. In May 1942 Kruisinga was arrested by the Sicherheitsdienst (SD) and detained in the ilag of Sint-Michielsgestel and was released in July 1944. Following the end of World War II Kruisinga returned to the University of Groningen and obtaining a Bachelor of Medical Sciences degree in June 1946 and worked as a student researcher before graduating with a Master of Medicine degree on 12 October 1950.
