Rodrigo Burgos
Rodrigo Roman Burgos (born 21 July 1989) is a Paraguayan football defensive midfielder who plays for Boca Unidos in the Argentine Torneo Federal A. At Talleres de Córdoba, Burgos first achieved ascension from Argentina's Torneo Federal A to the Primera B Nacional, and then to the Primera División Argentina. Burgos has amassed 17 Copa Libertadores appearances and 1 Copa Sudamericana appearance. He was runner-up with Paraguay at the 2009 South American Youth Championship. The Torneo Federal A (in English "Federal A Tournament") is one of the two professional leagues that form the regionalised third level of the Argentine football league system, along with Primera B Metropolitana. The competition was established in 2014 as a result of a change in the structure of the league system, replacing Torneo Argentino A. Federal A is organised by "Consejo Federal", a division of the Argentine Football Association. The 2009 South American Youth Championship (Sudamericano sub-20) was a football competition for national teams U-20 who are associated with the football federation CONMEBOL. It was the 24th time the tournament was held and took place in Venezuela from January 19 to February 8. It also served as qualification for the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup. Copa Sudamericana
The CONMEBOL Sudamericana, named as ''Copa Sudamericana'' (; pt, Copa Sul-Americana ), is an annual international club football competition organized by CONMEBOL since 2002. It is the second-most prestigious club competition in South American football. CONCACAF clubs were invited between 2004 and 2008. The CONMEBOL Sudamericana began in 2002, replacing the separate competitions Copa Merconorte and Copa Mercosur (that had replaced Copa CONMEBOL) by a single competition.
