Rodin Younessi
Rodin Younessi (born August 1, 1969 in Palm Beach, Florida) is an American racing driver from Palm Beach, Florida. Racing career Younessi began racing motorcycles at a young age and also competed in sports car racing. In 2011 he competed in the U.S. F2000 National Championship for Pabst Racing Services and JDC Motorsports in the series' National Class. He made seven starts finishing the season Fourth (4th) in championship standing in the National Class with a best finish of 12th overall in race 2 at Road America. In 2011 he also competed in the pair of F2000 Championship Series races at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. In 2012 Younessi formed his own team to compete in the Firestone Indy Lights series and announced that he would compete in the full season. However, Younessi ultimately only made two race starts, at the season opener in St. Petersburg and in June in Detroit. He finished 21st in points. Palm Beach is an incorporated town in Palm Beach County, Florida. Located on a barrier island in east-central Palm Beach County, the town is separated from several nearby cities including West Palm Beach and Lake Worth Beach by the Intracoastal Waterway to its west, though Palm Beach borders a small section of the latter and South Palm Beach at its southern boundaries. The formula is intended as part of a ladder system for young and upcoming drivers into the world of endurance racing while also serving as a value engineered entry for drivers and teams into Le Mans Prototypes due to limitations on manufacturers and suppliers. The Detroit Grand Prix (currently branded as the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear Corporation for sponsorship reasons) is an IndyCar Series race weekend held on a temporary circuit in Detroit, Michigan. The race has been held from 1989 to 2001, 2007 to 2008, and since 2012. Since 2012, the event has been scheduled for the weekend immediately following the Indianapolis 500. The Freedom 100 was an automobile race held annually at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in Speedway, Indiana, as part of the Indy Lights Presented by Cooper Tires. The event was a support race for the IndyCar Series Indianapolis 500, and since 2005, it was held on the Friday preceding the Indianapolis 500, the day known as " Carb Day". The Oreca 03 is a Le Mans Prototype built by Oreca in 2011. It is built within the revised 2011 ACO regulations for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The car made its début at the 12 Hours of Sebring run by Signatech Nissan and set to race at the 2011 24 Hours of Le Mans. It is the third car that Oreca has produced after the 01 and FLM09. 24 Oreca 03 were built.
