Rocket Red Brigade
The Rocket Red Brigade (russian: Ракетная Красная Бригада, Raketnaya Krasnaya Brigada) is a DC Comics superhero team. They first appeared in ''Green Lantern Corps'' #208 (January 1987), and were created by Steve Englehart and Joe Staton. History Originally created for the Soviet Union by Green Lantern Kilowog, the Rocket Red Brigade — normal human beings enhanced using "forced evolution" and armoured battle-suits — proudly defended the USSR. Their abilities included super strength, invulnerability, flight (through rocket packs/boots), the ability to project powerful energy blasts and "mecha-empathy" — the ability to sense and control computers and machines (though to what extent is not clear). Their name is likely a play on the phrase "rocket's red glare" from The Star-Spangled Banner, and Red Brigade. Ivan Reis is a Brazilians, Brazilian comics artist. He is known for his work on comic books such as Dark Horse Comics' ''Ghost (Dark Horse Comics), Ghost'', Marvel Comics' ''Genis-Vell, Captain Marvel'' and ''Vision (Marvel Comics), Avengers Icons: The Vision'' and DC Comics' ''Action Comics'', ''Green Lantern (comic book), Green Lantern'' and ''Aquaman'' series. According to collaborator Geoff Johns, Reis's drawing style resembles those of Alan Davis and Neal Adams. Career For three years, Reis worked for Maurício de Sousa in Brazil. Linda Danvers, also known as Supergirl, is a fictional comic book superhero appearing in books published by DC Comics. Created by writer Peter David and artist Gary Frank, she debuted in ''Supergirl'' (vol. 4) #1 (September 1996). Garth is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics, commonly associated with Aquaman and the Teen Titans. Created by writer Robert Bernstein (comics), Robert Bernstein and artist Ramona Fradon, he first appears in ''Adventure Comics'' #269 in February 1960. He was originally known as the first incarnation of Aqualad. As a young adult, the character would later choose to adopt the alias Tempest. Roy Harper is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Roy is one of DC's most longstanding characters, originating in 1940s comics as Speedy (DC Comics), Speedy, the teen sidekick of the superhero Green Arrow.
