Rock Prophecies
''Rock Prophecies'' is a 2009 documentary film concerning rock photographer Robert M. Knight. It was directed by John Chester (''Lost In Woonsocket'', A&E's ''Random 1'') and produced by Tim Kaiser (''Seinfeld'', ''Will and Grace''). Synopsis The film tells the story of Robert M. Knight, a rock photographer born and raised in Honolulu, who holds the distinction of being one of the first photographers to capture Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin, and the last to photograph Stevie Ray Vaughan. John Chester
John Chester is an Emmy award-winning filmmaker and television director. His recent short films for OWN's Super Soul Sunday (including ''Saving Emma'', ''Worry for Maggie'' and ''The Orphan'') have won five Emmy Awards, for outstanding directing, writing, and cinematography, among others. Chester's first primetime television docu-series aired on A&E, ''Random 1'', which he directed and starred in in 2006. The series inspired his feature documentary '' Lost in Woonsocket'' which premiered at SXSW in 2007. ''Random 1'' is a documentary-style reality television series that aired from November 2005 to January 2006 on the A&E cable network. In each episode, hosts John Chester and Andre Miller travel from town to town, in Miller's real-life, rickety pickup truck ''Jackie'', searching for total strangers who are looking to have their lives changed. However, unlike other such "do-gooder" shows, Chester and Miller employ an all-shapes-and-sizes approach, with assignments ranging from a new cell phone to a week in rehab to a new prosthetic leg. Stephen Ray Vaughan (October 3, 1954 – August 27, 1990) was an American musician, best known as the guitarist and frontman of the blues rock trio Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble. Although his mainstream career spanned only seven years, he is regarded as one of the most influential musicians in the history of blues music, and one of the greatest guitarists of all time. Born and raised in Dallas, Vaughan began playing guitar at age seven, initially inspired by his elder brother, Jimmie Vaughan.
