RoboMaster
RoboMaster ( zh, s=, t=, p=Jījiǎ Dàshī, c=机甲大师) is an annual intercollegiate robot competition held in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, founded and hosted by the drone tech giant DJI. First started in 2015, it is the brainchild of DJI's founder and CEO Frank Wang, and jointly sponsored by the Communist Youth League Central Committee, the All-China Students' Federation (ACSF) and the Shenzhen City Government. It is the first shooting sport-style robotics competition in China. RoboMaster is one of the four major robotics competitions under the China University Robot Competition ( zh, s=全国大学生机器人大赛, t=, c=, p=) banner, along with Robocon, ROBOTAC and the Robot Start-ups Competition. Robot Combat
Robot combat is a mode of robot competition in which custom-built machines fight using various methods to incapacitate each other. The machines have generally been remote-controlled vehicles rather than autonomous robots. Robot combat competitions have been made into television series, including '' Robot Wars'' in the UK and ''Battlebots'' in the US. These shows were originally broadcast in the late 1990s to early 2000s and experienced revivals in the mid-2010s. As well as televised competitions, smaller robot combat events are staged for live audiences such as those organized by the Robot Fighting League. Robot builders are generally hobbyists and the complexity and cost of their machines can vary substantially. Shenzhen Bay Sports Center
Shenzhen Bay Sports Center (Simplified Chinese: 深圳湾体育中心), nicknamed Spring Cocoon ( zh, 春茧) for its shape, is a multiuse stadium in Shenzhen, China. It is used mostly for table tennis, swimming and soccer competitions. The stadium is known for hosting the annual RoboMaster Robotics Competition since 2015, as well as the opening ceremony and numerous competitions of the 2011 Summer Universiade.
