Robinsons Malls is one of the List of shopping malls in the Philippines, largest shopping malls and retail operators in the Philippines. It was incorporated on September 9, 1997, by entrepreneur John Gokongwei, John Gokongwei Jr. to develop, conduct, operate and maintain the Robinsons commercial shopping centers and all related businesses, such as the lease of commercial spaces within the compound of shopping centers. Robinsons Malls has also its branches in China under the ''Robinsons Galleria'' name. In March 2016, John Gokongwei, Jr.'s son, Lance Gokongwei took over the leadership of Robinsons Malls following his retirement. The company, Robinson Public Company Limited, was registered in the stock exchange of Thailand in 1992 under the ticker . It is listed on the SET50 index. The company and its subsidiaries operate department stores under the Robinson brand and shopping centers under Robinson Lifestyle brand. Robinsons-May was a chain of department stores operating in Southern California, Arizona and Nevada, from 1993 until 2006. It was created when May Department Stores combined two of its chains, May Company California and J. W. Robinson's chains. Its headquarters was at the former May Company California headquarters at its Laurel Plaza store in North Hollywood, Los Angeles. When Federated took over May Department Stores Company on August 30, 2005, Robinsons-May was dissolved, with some stores becoming branches of Macy's, while others were closed, sold, or transformed into branches of Bloomingdale's. Robinson's of Florida was a chain of department stores on Florida's Gulf Coast and Orlando and based in St. Petersburg, Florida, starting with a store at Tyrone Square Mall in 1972. It had been founded in the 1970s as an attempt by Associated Dry Goods to emulate its upscale J. W. Robinson's stores of Southern California on the fast-growing Florida Gulf Coast. Robinsons is an English fruit drink brand owned by Britvic. Robinsons has a royal warrant from the monarch and was an independent company until 1995 when it was acquired by Britvic. The Robinsons range includes Fruit Shoot, Fruit Squash, No Added Sugar Fruit Squash, Fruit & Barley, Barley water, Select and Squash'd; the range formerly also included Fruit Spring. Robinson's Brewery
Robinsons Brewery is a family-run, regional brewery, founded in 1849 at the Unicorn Inn, Stockport, England. The company owns around 250 pubs, mostly in North West England. History William Robinson purchased the Unicorn Inn from Samuel Hole on 29 September 1838. His eldest son George brewed the first Robinsons Ale there in 1849. In 1859, Frederic Robinson took over from George and bought a warehouse to the rear of the inn to expand brewing capacity. As a result, Robinsons ale became available at pubs around the Stockport area. To control the quality of ale sold, Frederic began to purchase public houses. From 1878 until his death in 1890, Frederic established twelve pubs which exclusively served his ale. This was the beginning of what was to become an estate of over 300 pubs across the North West of England and North Wales. Robinsons, Newfoundland And Labrador
Robinsons is a village in the Bay St. George area of the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. "Robinson's Head" has been on maps since about 1798. The headland and community were named after John Robinson from Ireland who lived in a cave in Robinson's Head. "Robinson's Station" about two miles from the original village came into being after the railway was constructed in the late 1890s and people, mainly those working at railway maintenance, settled in the area where the local road intersected the railway. The name "Robinson's Station" became simply "Robinson's" on October 1, 1960. Robinson's had a population of 299 in 1956. "Modern" Robinsons consists of the original Robinson's Head settlement (Robinsons), Robinsons Station (the rail-line settlement), and Robinsons Junction (small cluster of buildings at or near a road junction). Melones (Spanish for "Melons") is a former settlement in Calaveras County, California, now submerged beneath a reservoir named New Melones Lake. It lay at an elevation of 955 feet (291 m). Melones was founded on the site of a ferry operated from 1848 by John W. Robinson and Stephen Mead. The town initially took its name from the ferry. History The first post office opened in Robinsons Ferry in 1879, the name was changed to Robinson's in 1895, and to Melones in 1902. The post office was closed in 1932, re-established in 1933 and closed for good in 1942. In January 1923 Paramount Pictures chose Melones to construct a complete 1849 mining camp set there for the motion picture ''The Covered Wagon''.
