Roberto Ruscitti
Roberto Ruscitti (Cansano, L'Aquila, December 12, 1941), was an Italian-Venezuelan composer, soloist and pianist, Nationally and internationally recognized for his compositions and for his interpretations of Venezuelan folk music. As a matter of fact, one can still regularly hear his ''Tango in Paradise'' in Japan. He studied under the tutelage of Vicente Emilio Sojo and Moises Moleiro at the ''Escuela Nacional de Música de Caracas'', Venezuela, and graduates as Soloist and Composer for piano. Under the tutelage of ''Cristóbal Gornés'', graduates as Teacher of Musical Pedagogy at the ''Escuela de música Nacional "Sebastián Echeverría Lozano"'' in Valencia, Venezuela. The National Philharmonic Orchestra was a British orchestra created exclusively for recording purposes. It was founded by RCA Records producer and conductor Charles Gerhardt and orchestra leader and contractor Sidney Sax. The orchestra was created partly due to the requirements of an extensive recording project for the ''Reader's Digest''. Accordions (from 19th-century German ''Akkordeon'', from ''Akkord''—"musical chord, concord of sounds") are a family of box-shaped musical instruments of the bellows-driven free-reed aerophone type (producing sound as air flows past a reed in a frame), colloquially referred to as a squeezebox. Pietro Deiro
Pietro Deiro (1888 – 1954) was one of the most influential accordionists of the first half of the 20th century. Born on August 28, 1888 in Salto Canavese, Italy, the younger brother of Guido Deiro, Pietro Deiro emigrated to the United States as a steerage passenger on the S/S ''La Savoie'' in 1907 and went to live with his Uncle Frederico and work in the coal mines of Cle Elum, Washington. Pietro Deiro began playing Diatonic button accordion professionally in a tavern in Seattle in 1908. Within a few months, his brother Guido Deiro (already an accomplished piano-accordionist in Europe) arrived in Seattle, and taught his brother how to play the piano accordion.
