Roberto Brunamonti
Roberto Brunamonti (born 14 April 1959 in Spoleto) is a retired Italian professional basketball player and coach. At a height of 191 cm (6'3") tall, he played at the point guard position. He was among the 105 player nominees for the 50 Greatest EuroLeague Contributors list. Professional career Brunamonti started his career with AMG Sebastiani Basket Rieti, in 1975, and after seven years, joined Virtus Bologna in 1982. He played with Virtus Bologna, until he ended his career in 1996, after playing 21 years in the Italian basketball league. He won four Italian League championships (1984, 1993, 1994, 1995), three Italian Cups (1984, 1989, 1990), and one Italian Supercup (1995). Virtus Pallacanestro Bologna, known for sponsorship reasons as Virtus Segafredo Bologna, is an Italian professional basketball club based in Bologna, Emilia-Romagna. The club was founded in 1929, which makes it the oldest club in Italy and one of the oldest ones in Europe. Virtus is the second most titled basketball club in Italy after Olimpia Milano, having won 16 Italian national championships, 8 Italian National Cups and 3 Italian Supercups. The 1991 FIBA European Championship, commonly called FIBA EuroBasket 1991, was the 27th FIBA EuroBasket regional basketball championship, held by FIBA Europe. It was held in Italy between 24 and 29 June 1991. Eight national teams entered the event under the auspices of FIBA Europe, the sport's regional governing body. The Palazzo dello Sport in Rome was the hosting venue of the tournament. Yugoslavia won its fifth FIBA European title by defeating hosts Italy with an 88–73 score in the final. Yugoslavia's Toni Kukoč was voted the tournament's MVP. AMG Sebastiani Basket, commonly known as AMG Sebastiani or Sebastiani Rieti was an Italian men's basketball club based in the city of Rieti. History Sebastiani Rieti was founded in 1946 by Luigi Padronetti and became active until the 1996–97 season. The club was headed to the memory of Angelo, Mario and Gino Sebastiani, great sportsmen of the time, barbarously killed by the German Army in 1944.
