Robert Donald Walker (June 18, 1888 – March 4, 1954) was an American film actor. He appeared in more than 200 films between 1913 and 1953. He was born in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania and died in Los Angeles. Robert Walker (moderator)
Robert Walker (1716–1783) was a Church of Scotland minister and historian who served as Moderator of the General Assembly in 1771. His views were strongly Calvinistic. Life He was born in Canongate manse, the son of Rev John Walker, minister of the Canongate Kirk. He was educated at the High School in Edinburgh then studied at Edinburgh University. He left Edinburgh and moved to Dumfriesshire for some years and in April 1737 he was licensed to preach by the Presbytery of Kirkcudbright, and ordained as minister of Straiton in September 1738. In November 1746 he translated back to Edinburgh as second charge of South Leith Parish Church in the harbour district. In October 1754 he translated to first charge of The High Kirk of St Giles, the country's most prestigious position. At St Giles his second charge was Rev Hugh Blair and they became close friends. Robert Walker (American Football)
Robert Walker (born June 26, 1972) is a former American football running back for the West Virginia Mountaineers. Walker is most remembered for his game-winning run against Miami Hurricanes, Miami in 1993. Collegiate career Walker came to West Virginia University, West Virginia in 1992 as a freshman. Walker sat as third-string running back most of that season, behind star Adrian Murrell and backup Jon Jones. His best season came in 1993, his sophomore year. With Murrell graduated and moved on to the NFL, pros, Walker assumed the starting role. Walker assumed the role better than anyone expected, as the Mountaineers went undefeated for the second time in school history. Robert Taylor Walker (11 April 1943 – October 1995) was a Scottish professional golfer. He won the Scottish Professional Championship twice and was runner-up in the PGA Close Championship in 1962 and a semi-finalist in the 1970 PGA Match Play Championship. He represented Scotland in the 1964 Canada Cup. He played in the Open Championship nine times, making the cut three times. Amateur career Walker played for Scotland in the annual England–Scotland boys match from 1957 to 1959, making his debut at the age of 14. In 1958 he was also selected for a combined England & Scotland boys team against the Continent of Europe. Bobby Walker (footballer, Born 1906)
Bobby Walker was a Scottish association football wing forward who played in both Scotland and the United States. In 1927, Walker briefly played for East Stirlingshire F.C. In the autumn of 1927, he signed with the New York Nationals (ASL), New York Nationals of the American Soccer League (1921-1933), American Soccer League. In April 1928, Walker and his teammates won the 1928 National Challenge Cup by defeating Bricklayers and Masons F.C., 4-1 on aggregate. Walker began the 1928-1929 season with the Nationals, but moved to Pawtucket Rangers, J&P Coats thirteen games into the season. He played for Coats into the 1929 fall season when the team was known as the Pawtucket Rangers. Bobby Walker (footballer, Born 1879)
Robert Walker (10 January 1879 – 28 August 1930) was a Scottish professional footballer, who played for Heart of Midlothian and Scotland. Club career Walker joined Hearts from Dalry Primrose in 1896, making his debut in a "trial" match vs Sunderland. He played in a few games that clinched Hearts' second League Championship in 1897. Walker was the first Hearts player to score over 100 league goals, and he scored their 1000th SFL goal. Other notable achievements are his 33 goals against Hibernian, which is the record tally in the Edinburgh Derby if local competitions are included. He scored two hat-tricks against Hearts' main rivals, the first at the age of 19 years and 9 months in a 5–1 victory at Easter Road on 28 October 1898. He repeated the feat on 18 September 1905, again at Easter Road, in a 3–0 win. The 1901 Scottish Cup was remembered as "Walker's Final", Hearts beating Celtic 4–3. Robert Walker (born 23 July 1942) is an English former professional footballer who played as a central defender. He played in the Football League for Brighton & Hove Albion, Bournemouth and Colchester United. Walker began his career at non-league Gateshead before joining Football League club Brighton & Hove Albion in 1962. After one season he played the next with Southern League Ashford Town (Kent). At the start of the 1964–65 campaign he joined Football League club Hartlepool United but after a brief stay in which he made no appearances he returned to the Southern League for four matches with Margate.
