Prattville is a city located within both Autauga and Elmore counties in the State of Alabama but serves as the county seat of Autauga County. As of the 2020 census, the population of the city was 37,781. Nicknamed "The Fountain City" due to the many artesian wells in the area, Prattville is part of the Montgomery metropolitan statistical area. Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail
The Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail is a collection of championship caliber golf courses, designed by Robert Trent Jones, Sr., distributed across the state of Alabama, as part of investments by the Retirement Systems of Alabama. The Trail started with 378 holes at eight sites throughout the state, but has grown to 468 holes at eleven sites. The concept was created and executed by David G. Bronner, CEO of the Retirement Systems of Alabama. The mission was to effectively diversify the assets of the state's pension fund and economically help the state of Alabama, the philosophy being that "the stronger the Retirement Systems of Alabama can make Alabama, the stronger the Retirement Systems will be." The Korn Ferry Tour is the developmental tour for the U.S.-based PGA Tour, and features professional golfers who have either not yet reached the PGA Tour, or who have done so but then failed to win enough FedEx Cup points to stay at that level. Lanto Griffin
Lanto Griffin (born June 15, 1988) is an American professional golfer on the PGA Tour. Early life Griffin was born in Mount Shasta, California and moved with his family at a young age to Blacksburg, Virginia. He played college golf at Virginia Commonwealth University where he was the 2009 Colonial Athletic Association Player of the Year. He turned professional in 2010. Professional career Griffin played on the PGA Tour Latinoamérica in 2015 and 2016. He won the Roberto De Vicenzo Punta del Este Open Copa NEC in 2015. Also in 2015, Griffin won the Virginia Open. At the Web.com Tour qualifying tournament in December 2016, Griffin missed qualification by just one stroke. Robby Shelton
Robert Shelton IV (born August 25, 1995) is an American professional golfer from Mobile, Alabama. Shelton attended and played college for three years at the University of Alabama from 2013 to 2016. He turned professional in 2016 after his junior year. Shelton played on the 2015 Walker Cup team where he posted a record of 2–1. He also played on the U.S. Palmer Cup team in 2014 and 2015. As an amateur, he finished tied for third at the 2015 Barbasol Championship on the PGA Tour. This was the highest finish by an amateur in a PGA Tour event since Phil Mickelson in 1991. He also qualified for the 2014 U.S. Open where he missed the cut. Shelton won the Southern Hills Plantation on the Swing Thought Tour in February 2017, his first professional win. 2019 Korn Ferry Tour
The 2019 Korn Ferry Tour was the 30th season of the top developmental tour for the PGA Tour in men's golf. The season began under the Web.com Tour name but changed in June to the Korn Ferry Tour. The season ran from January 13 to September 2 and consists of 27 official money tournaments, four of them played outside of the United States.
