Robert Montgomerie (fencer)
Robert Cecil Lindsay Montgomerie (15 February 1880 – 28 April 1939) was a British fencer. He won two silver medals in the team épée competitions at the 1908 and 1912 Summer Olympics. Montgomerie was a nine times British fencing champion, winning four foil titles and five épée titles at the British Fencing Championships The British Fencing Championships are held annually to determine the British champion. The Championships are currently held at the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield. The championships were not held during World War I, World War II and in 202 ..., from 1905 to 1914. Robert Montgomerie (cricketer)
Robert David Montgomerie (26 September 1937 – 17 April 2017) was an English cricketer. Montgomerie was a right-handed batsman who bowled leg break. He was born in Watford, Hertfordshire. Montgomerie made his debut for Hertfordshire in the 1956 Minor Counties Championship, making 2 appearances against Buckinghamshire and Cambridgeshire. These were his only appearances for his home county. In 1960, he made his only first-class appearance for the Free Foresters against Oxford University. In this match, he scored a single run in the Free Foresters first-innings, before being dismissed by Dan Piachaud. In their second-innings he scored 15 runs before being dismissed by Tony Jakobson. Montgomerie later joined Oxfordshire, making his debut for the county in the 1963 Minor Counties Championship against Devon. Montgomerie played Minor counties cricket for Oxfordshire from 1963 to 1973, which included 47 Minor Counties Championship matches. He made his List A debut again ...

Robert Montgomerie (novelist)
Robert Montgomerie is a novelist and teacher. He read Greats at Oxford University and taught at St Edward's School, Oxford, and, from 1969 until retirement in 1998, at Rugby School. He taught both Latin and Greek, but specialised in ancient history and classical civilisation. Robert Montgomerie (archbishop)
Robert Montgomerie of Hessilhead (c. 1530–1609) was a prominent Scottish clergyman in post-Reformation Scotland who served as Protestant Archbishop of Glasgow from 1581 to 1588. Life He was the third son of Hugh Montgomerie of Hessilhead and his wife, Margaret Houston of Houston. He was brother to the poet Alexander Montgomerie. He studied at Glasgow University and graduated MA. At the first General Assembly of the Church of Scotland he was recognised as an apt person to preach and began a series of positions in the Church of Scotland. He served successively in Cupar (1562-1567), Dunblane (1567-1572), Stirling (1572-1581). In 1581 he was created Archbishop of Glasgow in place of the late James Boyd of Trochrig.
