Robert Montgomerie (fencer)
Robert Cecil Lindsay Montgomerie (15 February 1880 – 28 April 1939) was a British fencer. He won two silver medals in the team épée competitions at the 1908 and 1912 Summer Olympics. Montgomerie was a nine times British fencing champion, winning four foil titles and five épée titles at the British Fencing Championships The British Fencing Championships are held annually to determine the British champion. The Championships are currently held at the English Institute of Sport, Sheffield. The championships were not held during World War I, World War II and in 202 ..., from 1905 to 1914. South Kensington
South Kensington, nicknamed Little Paris, is a district just west of Central London in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Historically it settled on part of the scattered Middlesex village of Brompton. Its name was supplanted with the advent of the railways in the late 19th century and the opening (and shutting) and naming of local tube stations.
