Robert Kościecha (born 22 November 1977 in Toruń, Poland) is a former motorcycle speedway rider from Poland. Career Kościecha won 2005 European Pairs Speedway Champion title. His father Roman (2 August 1949 - 6 June 2009) was also a speedway rider. He has a sister called Agnieszka. Robert was also team-captain for his Swedish team Piraterna in 2009. Poland National Speedway Team
The Poland national speedway team is the national motorcycle speedway team of Poland and is controlled by the Polish Motor Union ( PZM). The team is one of the major teams in international speedway and they won the Team World Championship nine times (last time in 2009 and 2010). The team has won 1971 Speedway World Pairs Championship also. The 2009 Individual Speedway Polish Championship ( pl, Indywidualne Mistrzostwa Polski, IMP) was the 2009 version of Individual Speedway Polish Championship organized by the Polish Motor Union (PZM). The defending Champion esd Adam Skórnicki, who finished sixth. The Final took place on 25 July 2009 at MotoArena Toruń in Toruń. The Final was won by Tomasz Gollob, who beat Krzysztof Kasprzak and Janusz Kołodziej. It was eight title for Gollob.
