Robert DeLeo
Robert Emile DeLeo (born February 2, 1966) is an American musician, songwriter and producer, best known as the bassist for rock band Stone Temple Pilots. He is part of Delta Deep and he has also played in Talk Show and Army of Anyone. He is the younger brother of Stone Temple Pilots guitarist Dean DeLeo. He is also the former bass player for the supergroup Hollywood Vampires. Early life DeLeo and his older brother Dean were both born in New Jersey and raised in the Jersey Shore community of Point Pleasant Beach. He graduated from Point Pleasant Borough High School in 1984. Their older half-brother is actor Scott Marlowe. Black Flag (band)
Black Flag is an American punk rock band formed in 1976 in Hermosa Beach, California. Initially called Panic, the band was established by Greg Ginn, the guitarist, primary songwriter, and sole continuous member through multiple personnel changes in the band. They are widely considered to be one of the first hardcore punk bands, as well as one of the pioneers of After breaking up in 1986, Black Flag reunited in 2003 and again in 2013. The second reunion lasted well over a year, during which they released their first studio album in nearly three decades, '' What The...'' (2013). The band announced their third reunion in January 2019. Brandon Pertzborn was replaced by Isaias Gil on drums and Tyler Smith was replaced by Joseph Noval on bass. Filter (band)
Filter is an American rock band formed in 1993 in Cleveland, Ohio, by singer Richard Patrick and guitarist and programmer Brian Liesegang. The band was formed when Patrick desired to start his own band after leaving Nine Inch Nails as their touring guitarist. Their debut album '' Short Bus'' was released in 1995 and ended up going platinum, largely due to the success of the single " Hey Man Nice Shot". After the album, the band would go through the first of many lineup changes, leaving Patrick as the only consistent member across all releases. After Liesegang's departure in 1997, Patrick recorded a follow up album with the ''Short Bus'' touring band members, who became full-time members thereafter. ''12 Bar Blues'' is the debut solo album from Stone Temple Pilots singer Scott Weiland. Its sound and style differ greatly from STP's previous releases. The design concept of the cover is a homage to the cover design of John Coltrane's '' Blue Train'' album. The title name comes from the simple chord progression known as " twelve-bar blues". Development In a 1998 interview on MTV's '' 120 Minutes'', Weiland states that his then brother-in-law introduced him to Blair Lamb, who co-produced ''12 Bar Blues'' with Weiland. Dave Coutts (musician)
Ten Inch Men was an American rock band formed in 1983 in Long Beach, California by record producer Dana M Allen on his Obelisk Records label. Original band members consisted of Dave Coutts (vocals, guitar), Jim Schumacher (keyboards, vocals), Mark Templin (guitar), Rusty Riopelle (bass), and Steve Coutts (drums). Although the original band never got signed to a major label, their music was well accepted within the college communities. Their 1984 12" single "Good for the Soul" received heavy rotation and made it to No. 3 on radio station KNAC, Long Beach. In March 1984, Ten Inch Men performed their first stadium size show at Long Beach State, opening for the punk band X. Between 1984 and 1985, several unreleased live shows and studio recordings were recorded. Linkin Park is an American rock band from Agoura Hills, California. Chester Bennington
Chester Charles Bennington (March 20, 1976 – July 20, 2017) was an American singer and songwriter who was best known as the lead vocalist of rock band Linkin Park. He was also the lead vocalist of the bands Grey Daze, Dead by Sunrise, and Stone Temple Pilots. Bennington first gained prominence as a vocalist following the release of Linkin Park's debut album, ''Hybrid Theory'' (2000), which was a worldwide commercial success. ''High Rise'' is an EP by American rock band Stone Temple Pilots, released on October 8, 2013 through their self-record label Play Pen, LLC. It is the first release by the band without former lead vocalist Scott Weiland, who was fired from the band in February 2013, and the only release to feature Chester Bennington of Linkin Park on lead vocals. Bennington later departed the band in 2015 and died in 2017. Two singles were released to promote the EP; " Out of Time" and " Black Heart". The EP received generally mixed reviews from critics. Stone Temple Pilots (2010 Album)
''Stone Temple Pilots'' is the sixth studio album by American rock band Stone Temple Pilots. The album was released worldwide from May 21 through May 27, 2010, and is the band's first album since 2001's ''Shangri-La Dee Da''. The album is the result of the band's reunion, which occurred in April 2008 with their North American tour. After Stone Temple Pilots had begun playing together, the band decided to record again, but a lawsuit filed by Atlantic Records on June 12, 2008, made the sixth album an uncertainty. Atlantic eventually withdrew the lawsuit, and the band's attorney called the legal situation a "misunderstanding". The album is also the band's final release with the full original lineup, as vocalist Scott Weiland was dismissed from the band in 2013, and died in 2015. "Interstate Love Song" is a single by American rock band Stone Temple Pilots. Released in September 1994, the song is from the band's second studio album, ''Purple''. Considered one of the band's biggest hits, "Interstate Love Song" reached number one on the US ''Billboard'' Album Rock Tracks chart (current Mainstream Rock) on September 17, 1994, replacing the band's previous single " Vasoline". The song stayed at number one for 15 weeks, a record at the time, and gave the Stone Temple Pilots 17 consecutive weeks at number one with both songs.
