''Survivor: Gabon — Earth's Last Eden'' is the seventeenth season of the American CBS competitive reality television series ''Survivor''. The premiere aired September 25, 2008, with the first two episodes screened back-to-back. ''Survivor: Gabon'' began filming in late June. It marked the second season of the series that was filmed in Africa ('' Survivor: Africa'' had been filmed seven years earlier in Kenya). Jeff Probst (; born November 4, 1961) is an American reality show host and executive producer. He is best known as the Emmy Award-winning host of the U.S. version of the reality television show '' Survivor'' since 2000. He was also the host of ''The Jeff Probst Show'', a syndicated daytime talk show produced by CBS Television Distribution from September 2012 to May 2013. Early life Probst was born at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas, to Jerry and Barbara Probst, and moved to Bellevue, Washington halfway through high school. XDCAM
XDCAM is a series of products for digital recording using random access solid-state memory media, introduced by Sony in 2003. Four different product lines the XDCAM SD, XDCAM HD, XDCAM EX and XDCAM HD422 differ in types of encoder used, frame size, container type and in recording media. None of the later products have made earlier product lines obsolete. Sony maintains that different formats within XDCAM family have been designed to meet different applications and budget constraints. The XDCAM range includes cameras and decks which act as drop-in replacements for traditional VTRs allowing XDCAM discs to be used within a traditional videotape-based workflow. Jimmy Johnson (American Football Coach)
James William Johnson (born July 16, 1943) is an American sports analyst and former football coach. Johnson served as a head football coach on the collegiate level from 1979 to 1988 and in the National Football League (NFL) for nine seasons. He is the first head football coach to win both a college football national championship and a Super Bowl (Barry Switzer and Pete Carroll have since joined him), achieving the former with Miami and the latter with the Dallas Cowboys. The Bakota (or Kota) are a Bantu ethnic group from the northeastern region of Gabon and Congo. The language they speak is called iKota, but is sometimes referred to as Bakota, ikuta, Kota, and among the Fang, they are known as Mekora. The language has several dialects, which include: Ndambomo, Mahongwe, Ikota-la-hua, Sake, Menzambi, Bougom. Some of these dialects themselves include regional variations of some kind. Culture The Kota are traditionally a patriarchal society, however some of the sub-groups such as the Mahongwe have over time adopted a matrilineal system of lineage (Mahongwe means, "from your father").
