Robert Corbett (Canadian Politician)
Robert Alfred Corbett (born 14 December 1938) was a member of the House of Commons of Canada from 1978 to 1993. His background was in business. Corbett was born in Saint John, New Brunswick, was the son of James Ross Corbett and Helen Elma Yeamans. In 1971, he married Laverne Dorothea Stewart. Corbett represented Queens South in the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick from 1974 to 1978. He was first elected to the House of Commons in a by-election on 16 October 1978 at the Fundy—Royal electoral district for the Progressive Conservative party. Major General Sir Robert John Swan Corbett, (born 16 May 1940) was the last Commandant of the British Sector in Berlin. Military career Educated at Woodcote House School and Shrewsbury School, Corbett was commissioned into the Irish Guards in 1959.Debrett's People of Today 1994 He became Commanding Officer of the 1st Battalion Irish Guards in 1981. He became Chief of Staff to British Forces in the Falkland Islands in 1984 and Commander 5th Airborne Brigade in 1985. He went on to be Director of Defence Programmes at the Ministry of Defence in 1987 and the last Commandant of the British Sector in Berlin prior to the German reunification in 1990. Bobby Corbett
Robert Corbett (16 March 1922 – October 1988) was an English footballer who played as a defender. He was the brother of George Corbett, also a professional footballer. He began playing at non-league club Throckley Welfare, later moving to Newcastle United and made his professional debut in 1946 against Barnsley F.C. after the conclusion of the Second World War. He was sold to neighbouring club Middlesbrough in 1951 for £9000, where he made 92 appearances over five seasons. He finished his career with a two-year spell at Northampton Town. Corbett won an FA Cup winners medal with Newcastle in the 1951 FA Cup Final after defeating Blackpool 2–0. He played alongside other notable players such as Jackie Milburn and Charlie Crowe. Corbett died in October 1988 at the age of 66 after spending his retirement living in North Walbottle. Bob Corbett (footballer)
Robert "Bob" Corbett (23 November 1895 – 10 June 1957) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Football Corbett, a centreman, came originally from Ballarat team Golden Point and was already 24 by the time he made his VFL debut in 1920. He was a constant fixture in the Melbourne side during the 1920s and a regular interstate representative. Just before half time in the 1926 Preliminary Final, Corbett was struck in the face and knocked to the ground by Essendon player Charlie May. Despite returning to the field later in the game, he missed out on playing in Melbourne's premiership win the following week, diagnosed with a broken jaw. A side result of this incident was the eventual introduction of a reserve that could replace injured players.Atkinson, p.79. GNU Bison, commonly known as Bison, is a parser generator that is part of the GNU Project. Bison reads a specification in the BNF notation (a context-free language), warns about any parsing ambiguities, and generates a parser that reads sequences of tokens and decides whether the sequence conforms to the syntax specified by the grammar.
