The Robert Award ( da, Robert prisen) is a Danish film prize awarded each year by the Danish Film Academy. It is the Danish equivalent of the American Oscars, British BAFTAs for films and Australian AACTA Awards. The award—voted only by academy members—is an acknowledgment by Danish industry colleagues of a person's or film's outstanding contributions during the previous year. Since 2013, awards have been given to television series and actors as well. ''Tidsrejsen'' (literally ''The Time Travel'' or ''The Voyage through Time'' in Danish) is a Danish television series in the form of a Nordic Christmas calendar that was shown over the Christmas period by the Danish Broadcasting Corporation in 2014. As per tradition for Nordic Christmas calendars, the series premiered on 1 December 2014 and ran for 24 episodes. It was written by Poul Berg and directed by Kaspar Munk. ''Tidsrejsen'' was filmed mostly in the town of Dragør on Amager, south of Copenhagen. The series has science fiction elements, such as a time machine, and has themes of young love and general love, as well as family, the idea that actions have consequences and the idea that people decide their own fate in life. Kaspar Munk
Kaspar Munk (born June 23, 1971) is a Danish film director, writer and producer, best known as the director of HBO series ''Kamikaze'' and Danish Netflix series '' The Rain''. Munk is the recipient of five Robert Awards, which is the Danish equivalent of the Academy Awards. Career Munk made his debut in 1996 with the short film ''Let's Be Friends''. In 2007 he was nominated for the Robert Awards for the short film ''Forsvunden'', which went on to win the Award for Best Children's and Youth Film at Odense International Film Festival. Ditte Hansen (born 6 December 1970, in Copenhagen) is a Danish actress and author known for writing and starring in the TV series ''Ditte & Louise'' and its film spin-off as well as her appearances in the Cirkusrevyen. Early life Hansen was born on 6 December 1970 in Copenhagen. She grew up with her father, an alcoholic, where he occasionally abuses her as she attempted to calm down. These events traumatised Hansen, as she sometimes goes to therapy to escape her past while having strong support with her husband.
