Robbie Hanley
Robbie Hanley (born 1996) is an Irish hurler who plays for Limerick Senior Championship club Kilmallock and at inter-county level with the Limerick senior hurling team. He usually lines out as a midfielder. Playing career Kilmallock Hanley joined the Kilmallock club at a young age and played in all grades at juvenile and underage levels before eventually joining the club's top adult team. On 19 October 2014, Hanley won a Limerick Championship medal after coming on as a substitute in Kilmallock's 1–15 to 0–14 defeat of reigning champions Na Piarsaigh in the final. On 23 November, he was again introduced as a substitute as Kilmallock won the Munster Championship following a 1–32 to 3-18 extra-time defeat of Cratloe. On 17 March 2015, Hanley made another cameo appearance as a substitute for Kilmallock in their 1–18 to 1–06 defeat by Ballyhale Shamrocks in the All-Ireland final at Croke Park. Kilmallock
Kilmallock () is a town in south County Limerick, Ireland, near the border with County Cork. There is a Dominican Priory in the town and King's Castle (or King John's Castle). The remains of medieval walls which encircled the settlement are still visible. History Foundation and development Saint Mocheallóg built a church in the area in the early 7th century, and the town's name derives from the Irish ''Cill Mocheallóg'' meaning "the church of Mocheallóg". The town was of considerable importance in the late medieval period, ranking as one of the main urban areas in Ireland at the time. The Collegiate Church of St Peter and St Paul was built by 1241. Kilmallock was located in a position of some strategic importance, and in consequence the town frequently became a target during times of war. 2020 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship
The 2020 All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship was the 133rd staging of the All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county hurling tournament, since its establishment in 1887. The 2020 fixtures were announced in October 2019. Games were initially scheduled to begin on 9 May 2020. 2014 Limerick Senior Hurling Championship
The 2014 Limerick Senior Hurling Championship was the 120th staging of the Limerick Senior Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Limerick County Board in 1887. The championship began on 2 May 2014 and ended on 19 October 2014. Na Piarsaigh were the defending champions. However, they were defeated in the final by Kilmallock, who won by 1–15 to 0–14. Na Piarsaigh had earlier defeated Kilmallock in the group stage. Knockainey and Granagh-Ballingarry were relegated from the championship. National Hurling League
The National Hurling League is an annual Inter county, inter-county hurling competition featuring teams from Ireland and England. Founded in 1925 by the Gaelic Athletic Association, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation within the league system. The league has 35 teams divided into six divisions, with either five or six teams in each division. Promotion and relegation between these divisions is a central feature of the league. Although primarily a competition for Irish teams, teams from England – currently Lancashire GAA, Lancashire, London GAA, London and Warwickshire GAA, Warwickshire – also take part, while in the past New York GAA, New York also fielded a team for the latter stages of the league. The 2019 National Hurling League is the 88th season of the National Hurling League for county teams. Kilkenny were the defending champions, having won the 2018 league. The GAA announced a new broadcast agreement on 10 January 2019 that runs from 2019 until 2022. Eir Sport and RTÉ provide live TV coverage of the league on Saturday nights. TG4 broadcast Sunday afternoon games.
