Robert Roderick McDonald (born 22 January 1959) is an English former professional association football, footballer who played as a striker (association football), striker or midfielder for Hull City A.F.C., Hull City, SC Cambuur, FC Wageningen, Willem II Tilburg, FC Groningen, PSV Eindhoven, Sporting Clube de Portugal, R. Jet Wavre, Racing Jet de Bruxelles, Ikast FS, Newcastle United F.C., Newcastle United, Beşiktaş J.K., Beşiktaş and BV Veendam. McDonald also enjoyed a career in football management, with DOVO, De Graafschap, Ajax Cape Town FC, Ajax Cape Town, SC Cambuur, VVOG, Sligo Rovers F.C., Sligo Rovers and AS Trenčín. As manager of Sligo Rovers, McDonald tried to sell Séamus Coleman whom he did not rate as a footballer. Veenendaal () is a municipality and a town in central Netherlands, located in the province of Utrecht. Veenendaal is the only population centre within its administrative borders. Séamus Coleman (; born 11 October 1988) is an Irish professional footballer who plays as a right-back and captains both Premier League club Everton and the Republic of Ireland national team. Originally a Gaelic footballer, Coleman started his association football career with St Catherine's in Killybegs. Sportclub Veendam () was a Dutch professional association football club based in Veendam, province of Groningen. Founded on 4 September 1894 as Look-Out, it became P.J. Veendam in 1909, Veendam in 1910, SC Veendam in 1974, BV Veendam in 1997 and again SC Veendam in 2011.
