Rob MacDonald
Robert Lawrence MacDonald (born September 5, 1978) is a Canadian mixed martial artist. From 2002 until 2009, he competed in various high-profile promotions including the UFC, Maximum Fighting Championship, and was a competitor on ''The Ultimate Fighter 2'', where he was the first Canadian to fight on the show. He later returned to competition for '' The Ultimate Fighter 30'' in 2022. Background Rob was a nationally ranked wrestler at St. Charles College (Sudbury) in Ontario and also excelled on the football and track teams. He graduated Western Ontario University with degrees in English and Psychology. Mixed martial arts career MacDonald made his professional mixed martial arts debut on June 1, 2002, when he faced Zane Hagel at MFC 4: New Groundz. Capreol ( ) is a community in the Ontario city of Greater Sudbury. Situated on the Vermilion River (35 mins north of the downtown core), Capreol is the city's northernmost populated area. From 1918 to 2000, Capreol existed as an independent town. Eric John Schafer (born September 20, 1977) is a retired American mixed martial artist. A professional from 1997 until 2016, he competed for the UFC. Background Schafer attended the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh. Schafer is a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu under Pedro Sauer. Mixed martial arts career Early career Schafer compiled an amateur record of 2-1 before making his professional MMA debut in 1998. He then amassed a record of 6-1-2 before being signed by the UFC.
