Rob Keogh
Robert Ian Keogh (born 21 October 1991) is an English cricketer who currently plays for Northamptonshire. Keogh is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm off break. After playing minor counties cricket for Bedfordshire, Keogh made his first-class debut in August 2012, playing for Northants against Glamorgan. This was his only first-class appearance that season, but the next year he played 8 games. In the match against Hampshire in September 2012, he scored his maiden first-class century, and then progressed to 221, including 32 boundaries before he was out. He has scored at least one century in each subsequent season, but has so far failed to reach the milestone of 1000 runs in a season, his best being 876 runs in 2015, when he played in all 18 of Northants first-class games. Dunstable
Dunstable ( ) is a market town and civil parishes in England, civil parish in Bedfordshire, England, east of the Chiltern Hills, north of London. There are several steep chalk escarpments, most noticeable when approaching Dunstable from the north. Dunstable is the fourth largest town in Bedfordshire and along with Houghton Regis forms the westernmost part of the Luton/Dunstable Urban Area. Etymology In Ancient Rome, Roman times there was a minor settlement called Durocobrivis in the area now occupied by modern-day Dunstable. There was a general assumption that the nominative form of the name had been Durocobrivae, so that is what appears on the map of 1944 illustrated Dunstable#History, below. Cricket
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out"). Means of dismissal include being bowled, when the ball hits the stumps and dislodges the bails, and by the fielding side either catching the ball after it is hit by the bat, but before it hits the ground, or hitting a wicket with the ball before a batter can cross the crease in front of the wicket. Graeme White
Graeme Geoffrey White (born 18 April 1987) is a professional cricketer currently playing for Northamptonshire. Career Graeme was educated at Stowe School in Buckinghamshire, which is also where former Northamptonshire teammates Rob White, Ben Howgego and Mark Nelson studied. Earlier on in his career, he scored 109 and took 7 for 21 for Staffordshire U17s during 2003. Graeme then progressed on to playing second XI cricket for Northamptonshire at the end of the 2004 season and throughout the 2005 season. He played for England in the 2006 U-19 Cricket World Cup in Sri Lanka. In 2009 Graeme moved to Nottinghamshire citing the need for regular first team cricket as the main motivation. He made little impact at Notts and briefly returned to Northants on loan in June 2013, and later that year signed a longer term contract with the club. Bedfordshire County Cricket Club
Bedfordshire County Cricket Club is one of 20 Minor County clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Bedfordshire. The team is currently a member of the Minor Counties Championship Eastern Division and plays in the MCCA Knockout Trophy. Bedfordshire played List A matches occasionally from 1967 until 2005 but is not classified as a List A team. History Cricket had probably reached Bedfordshire by the end of the 17th century. The earliest reference to cricket in the county is a match in August 1741 at Woburn Park between a Bedfordshire XI and a combined Northants and Huntingdonshire XI. In cricket, batting is the act or skill of hitting the cricket ball, ball with a cricket bat, bat to score runs (cricket), runs and prevent the dismissal (cricket), loss of one's wicket. Not Out
In cricket, a batter is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batter is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress. Occurrence At least one batter is not out at the end of every innings, because once ten batters are out, the eleventh has no partner to bat on with so the innings ends. Usually two batters finish not out if the batting side declares in first-class cricket, and often at the end of the scheduled number of overs in limited overs cricket. Batters further down the batting order than the not out batters do not come out to the crease at all and are noted as ''did not bat'' rather than ''not out''; by contrast, a batter who comes to the crease but faces no balls is ''not out''. Bedfordshire (; abbreviated Beds) is a ceremonial county in the East of England. Twenty20
Twenty20 (T20) is a shortened game format of cricket. At the professional level, it was introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) in 2003 for the inter-county competition. In a Twenty20 game, the two teams have a single innings each, which is restricted to a maximum of 20 overs. Together with first-class and List A cricket, Twenty20 is one of the three current forms of cricket recognised by the International Cricket Council (ICC) as being at the highest international or domestic level.
