Rudehen
Rudehen ( fa, رودهن, also Romanized as Rūdehen, Rūd-e Hen, and Rūdīān) is a city and capital of Rudehen District, in Damavand County, Tehran Province, Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 19,535, in 5,693 families. Rudehen is located just past the fork between Haraz and Firoozkooh roads. The Alborz mountain range sits to the North. It is surrounded by mountains to the North, and Mt. Ghorch, Mt. Soori, and others to the South separating it from the central plateau of Iran. It is 1850 meters above the sea level and has a total area of 50 square kilometers. Before the construction of Tehran-Mazandaran Road, the area was called Damavand in historic reference. After the construction of the road in 1903, however, Rudehen was referred to as a place for rest midway of the road. Qaem Shahr
Qaem Shahr ( fa, قائمشهر, also Romanized as Qā’em Shahr; formerly known as Shāhi ( fa, شاهی) is a city and capital of Qaem Shahr County, Mazandaran Province, Iran. At the 2016 census, its population was 247,953. Originally known as Aliyabad, the name Ŝâhi (Shahi) was used until the Iranian Revolution in 1979 when the city acquired its current name. The city is situated north-east of Tehran; southeast of Babol; and south west of Sari which is the capital of Mazandaran province. In 1951, Qa'em Shahr's population was around 18,000, growing to 123,684 in 1991. The city is where the North Iranian railway quits the fertile plains of Mazandaran to cross the highest mountain range of the Middle East, the Alborz. The Caspian Sea is the world's largest inland body of water, often described as the world's largest lake or a full-fledged sea. Alborz
The Alborz ( fa, البرز) range, also spelled as Alburz, Elburz or Elborz, is a mountain range in northern Iran that stretches from the border of Azerbaijan along the western and entire southern coast of the Caspian Sea and finally runs northeast and merges into the smaller Aladagh Mountains and borders in the northeast on the parallel mountain ridge Kopet Dag in the northern parts of Khorasan. All these mountains are part of the much larger Alpide belt. This mountain range is divided into the Western, Central, and Eastern Alborz Mountains.
