Jean-Baptiste Alaize
Jean-Baptiste Alaize (born 10 May 1991) is a French athlete with an amputated tibia, who specialises in sprint and long jump. He represented France at the 2016 Paralympic Games. Early life Alaize was born in Burundi, in 1991, just days before the Burundian Civil War broke out. At three years old, the conflict required one of his legs to be amputated. He arrived in France 12 July 1998, to receive a prosthesis and remained in Montpellier. He runs with this carbon prosthesis specially designed for handisport. He entered INSEP in 2010 . Daniel Pemberton (born 3 November 1977) is an Academy Award-nominated and Emmy-winning English composer and songwriter. Life and career In 1994, at the age of 16, Pemberton recorded his debut album, ''Bedroom'', on a multitrack cassette recorder, which caught the attention of ambient musician Pete Namlook and was released on the latter’s Fax label as part of its sub-label series. Beatrice Maria Adelaide Marzia Vio (born 4 March 1997), better known as Bebe Vio, is an Italian wheelchair fencer, the 2014 and 2016 European champion, 2015 and 2017 World champion, and 2016 and 2020 Paralympic champion in the foil B category. Early life Bebe Vio was born in Venice on 4 March 1997 as the second of three siblings and raised in Mogliano Veneto. In late 2008, when she was 11 years old, she contracted meningitis. In order to save her life, doctors had to amputate both her legs at the knee, and both her forearms. After more than three months of intensive rehabilitation she was able to return to fencing. In her childhood she pursued three passions, which she dubs "the three S's": school (''scuola'' in Italian), fencing (''scherma''), which she took up when she was five, and scouting (''scoutismo'').
