Rigmor Brøste
Rigmor Brøste (born 1965) is a Norwegian politician and civil servant. She is serving as the acting County Governor of Møre og Romsdal county from 2019 up to when Else-May Botten will take over as the official governor of the county. Brøste received her cand.mag. degree from the University of Oslo. She worked in municipal government from 1999 to 2006 for Molde Municipality and from 2006 to 2012 for Nesset Municipality. Since 2012, she has worked as an assistant county governor for Møre og Romsdal county. In 2018, the Governor Lodve Solholm retired and the government of Norway appointed Else-May Botten as the new governor, but since she is currently serving in the Parliament of Norway The Storting ( no, Stortinget ) (lit. the Great Thing) is the supreme legislature of Norway, established in 1814 by the Constitution of Norway. The county governor ( nb, statsforvalteren; nn, statsforvaltaren, lit. ''state administrator'' in English) is a Norwegian government agency that represents the central government administration in every county in Norway. Responsible for a number of supervision and management duties, the governor is the representative of the king and the government of Norway in each county, functioning as the connection between the state and the municipalities. The county governor is subordinate to the Ministry of Local Government and Modernisation but also to the other ministries in their respective duties. The governor is part of the executive branch and so is formally appointed by the king in a cabinet meeting. Møre og Romsdal (; en, Møre and Romsdal) is a county in the northernmost part of Western Norway. It borders the counties of Trøndelag, Innlandet, and Vestland. The county administration is located in the town of Molde, while Ålesund is the largest town. Else-May Botten
Else-May Botten (born 16 August 1973, in Halsa) is a Norwegian politician for the Norwegian Labour Party. She was elected to the Storting from Møre og Romsdal county in 2009. She was deputy representative 2005–2009. In 2009, she was Møre og Romsdal Labour Party's 1st candidate to the Storting, and was elected as a representative. She was re-elected in 2013 and 2017. Accessed on 25 March 2019. Botten has a background as secretary of the Norwegian Confederation of Trade Unions in the county since 1995. She was a member of the county council in Møre og Romsdal from 2003 to 2007. Botten grew up in Halsa in Nordmøre, and now lives in Molde in Romsdal. Nesset Municipality
Nesset is a former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway on the Romsdal Peninsula. The administrative centre was the village of Eidsvåg. Other population centers included Rausand, Boggestranda, Myklebostad, Eresfjord, and Eikesdalen. Lodve Solholm
Lodve Solholm (born 14 March 1949 in Vestnes) was the county governor of Møre og Romsdal (from 2009 until retirement in 2018). He used to be a politician representing the Progress Party. He was elected to the Norwegian Parliament from Møre og Romsdal in 1989, serving until 1993; he was out of parliament from 1993 to 1997, but was re-elected in 1997, 2001, and 2005.
