Nesset is a former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway on the Romsdal Peninsula. The administrative centre was the village of Eidsvåg. Other population centers included Rausand, Boggestranda, Myklebostad, Eresfjord, and Eikesdalen. Mardalsfossen, one of Norway's tallest waterfalls, a popular tourist attraction during the tourist season, is located in Nesset, along the shores of the lake Eikesdalsvatnet. At the time if its dissolution in 2020, the municipality is the 100th largest by area out of the 422 municipalities in Norway. Eidsvåg is a village in Molde Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The village is located at the end of the Langfjorden on the isthmus connecting the Romsdal peninsula to the Norwegian mainland. Nesset Church
Nesset Church ( no, Nesset kyrkje) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Molde Municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is located in the village of Eidsvåg, Nesset, Eidsvåg. It is the church for the Nesset parish which is part of the Molde domprosti (arch-deanery) in the Diocese of Møre. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1878 by the architect Johannes Henrik Nissen. The church seats about 250 people. Midsund is a former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It was part of the Romsdal region. The administrative centre was the village of Midsund on Otrøya island. Other settlements on the island included Uglvik and Raknes in the north and Nord-Heggdal in the southeast. The municipality consisted of many islands. The Schei Committee ( no, Schei-komitéen) was a committee named by the Government of Norway to look into the organization of municipalities in Norway post-World War II. It convened in 1946, and its formal name was (The 1946 Committee on Municipal Division). Tingvollfjorden is a fjord in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The long fjord passes through the municipalities of Tingvoll, Gjemnes, Molde, and Sunndal. The inner part of the fjord (within the municipality of Sunndal) is called the Sunndalsfjorden. The fjord begins at the island of Bergsøya and stretches about to the village of Sunndalsøra. Tingvoll is a municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It is part of the Nordmøre region. The administrative centre is the village of Tingvollvågen. Bolsøy
Bolsøy is a former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. The municipality of Bolsøy encompassed the area around the Fannefjorden including most of the present-day Molde Municipality, excluding the town of Molde. The municipality also included the Molde Archipelago and the island of Bolsøya. Romsdal Peninsula
Romsdal is a traditional district in the Norwegian county Møre og Romsdal, located between Nordmøre and Sunnmøre. The district of Romsdal comprises Aukra, Fræna, Midsund, Molde, Nesset, Rauma, Sandøy, and Vestnes. It is named after the valley of Romsdalen, which covers part of Rauma. Eresfjord og Vistdal is a former municipality in Møre og Romsdal county, Norway. It existed from 1890 until its dissolution in 1964. The municipality encompassed all of the present-day Molde Municipality that lies south of the Langfjorden and surrounding the Eresfjorden. The administrative centre of the municipality was the village of Eresfjord.
