Rico Mambo
"Rico Mambo" is a 1984 single by the American band Breakfast Club. Written by the band's lead singer Dan Gilroy and originally produced by drummer Stephen Bray, it was re-recorded for the band's eponymous 1987 album with production by Deodato. Early releases Breakfast Club signed with ZE Records, first issuing the "Rico Mambo" in 1984 as a standalone single with "Walk It Off" as a b-side. Distributed by Island Records, the single saw release as both 7″ and 12″ singles on five continents, but failed to chart anywhere. With its inclusion on the successful ''Breakfast Club'' in 1987, the new version of the song saw release in Europe and Australia by MCA on both 7″ and 12″ singles, this time with "Tongue Tied" as a b-side. Breakfast Club (band)
Breakfast Club is an American musical group. Their biggest hit single was "Right on Track", which peaked at no. 7 on the US ''Billboard'' Hot 100 chart. The song was remixed for a commercial release in a 12" version for dance and club play by John "Jellybean" Benitez and became a top 10 hit on the ''Billboard'' Magazine Hot Dance Club Play chart. After 35 years of absence, the band have reformed and have released a new single in 2022 called "Could We Not Stop Dancing?". History The group was formed in New York City in 1979 and went through several line-ups, including one in which future pop star Madonna was the drummer. In the early 1980s, the band included Madonna, Angie Smit on bass, and the Gilroy brothers, Dan and Ed, both on guitar (Dan sang lead vocals as well). CPDRC Dancing Inmates or the CPDRC dancers is a collective of prison inmates in Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC), a maximum security prison in Cebu, in Cebu Province, Philippines where the prisoners perform dance routines as part of their daily exercise and rehabilitation, and many of their performances are filmed and released online, making them a popular feature among fans and veritable online celebrities. Byron F. Garcia, the official security advisor to the Cebu government, is credited for starting a program of choreographed exercise routines for the inmates. He was appointed head of the prison by his sister Gwendolyn Garcia, governor of Cebu. Marco "Mcoy" Fundales (born 3 November 1977) is a Filipino musician, writer and actor. He was the former lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the popular Pinoy rock band Orange and Lemons. He is currently the lead vocalist of the band Kenyo. His musical influences are the bands like The Smiths, Eraserheads and The Beatles.
