Rick Riordan Presents
Rick Riordan Presents is a book imprint of Disney-Hyperion (Disney Publishing Worldwide) that was launched in 2018 and is led by Stephanie Owens Lurie. The line publishes books that utilize the mythology of various cultures and countries in its storytelling akin to Rick Riordan's ''Percy Jackson & the Olympians''. The first book published under the imprint, ''Aru Shah and the End of Time'', was released on March 23, 2018. History American author Rick Riordan was approached by Disney about creating an imprint but was initially unable to focus on the request. He later responded to Disney stating that he wanted to launch an imprint that would "find, nurture, and promote the best storytellers for middle grade readers" and "focus on diverse, mythology-based fiction by new, emerging, and under-represented authors". Sailor Moon
is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Naoko Takeuchi. It was originally serialized in Kodansha's ''shōjo'' manga magazine ''Nakayoshi'' from 1991 to 1997; the 52 individual chapters were published in 18 volumes. The series follows the adventures of a schoolgirl named Usagi Tsukino as she transforms into Sailor Moon to search for a magical artifact, the . She leads a group of comrades, the Sailor Soldiers, called Sailor Guardians in later editions, as they battle against villains to prevent the theft of the Silver Crystal and the destruction of the Solar System. The manga was adapted into an anime series produced by Toei Animation and broadcast in Japan from 1992 to 1997. Toei also developed three animated feature films, a television special, and three short films based on the anime. Carlos Hernandez (writer)
Carlos Alberto Pablo Hernandez (born January 14, 1971) is an American writer of science fiction and fantasy. He is best known for the young adult novels '' Sal and Gabi Break the Universe'', which won the 2020 Pura Belpré Award, and its sequel, '' Sal and Gabi Fix the Universe''. Career Hernandez earned his Ph. D. in English, with an emphasis in creative writing, from Binghamton University in 2000. He is an English professor at the City University of New York in the Borough of Manhattan Community College campus. He also teaches in the Interactive Technology and Pedagogy Program at the CUNY Graduate Center. Hernandez's interest in game-based learning led him to co-found the CUNY Games Network and the Board Game Designers Group of New York. The tiger (''Panthera tigris'') is the largest living cat species and a member of the genus ''Panthera''. It is most recognisable for its dark vertical stripes on orange fur with a white underside. An apex predator, it primarily preys on ungulates, such as deer and wild boar.
