Rick Johnson (Canadian Politician)
Rick Johnson is a Canadian former politician and musician. He was a Liberal member of the Legislative Assembly of Ontario from 2009 to 2011 who represented the riding of Haliburton—Kawartha Lakes—Brock. He was elected in a by-election on March 5, 2009, defeating Progressive Conservative leader John Tory. He lost to Laurie Scott in the 2011 election who had previously held the riding. Background Before entering politics, Johnson was a musician, working alongside his wife Terri Crawford both in the Terry Crawford Band of the 1970s and 1980s and later as a children's music duo billed as Terri & Rick. Politics Johnson previously served as a public school trustee for, and chair of, the Trillium Lakelands District School Board and as president of the Ontario Public School Boards Association. Rick Johnson is a Michigan politician who served in the House of Representatives for the 102nd District from 1999 to 2004, and as Speaker of the House from 2001 to 2004. Born in LeRoy, Osceola County, Johnson was an honors graduate of Pine River High School. He served as an Osceola County commissioner for eight years from 1986 to 1994, including five as chairman of the board, and on the Pine River School Board for six years from 1980 to 1986. Johnson was vice chairman of the Region VII Planning Commission and the District VII director of the Michigan Farm Bureau, serving as a state board member from 1994 to 1998. He was also owner and operator of the family dairy and tree farm, on the board of the Rose Lake Youth Camp, and is active in the Osceola County Community Foundation. Mustard Plug is an American ska punk band from Grand Rapids, Michigan, consisting of Dave Kirchgessner (vocals), Brandon Jenison (trumpet), Jim Hofer (trombone), Nate Cohn (drums), Colin Clive (guitar/vocals), Mark Petz (tenor saxophone) and Greg Witulski (bass). ''Black Crypt'' is a role-playing video game. It was Raven Software's debut title, and was published for the Amiga by Electronic Arts in 1992. Its 3D realtime style is similar to FTL Games' popular '' Dungeon Master'', where the player leads a party of four heroes through a large dungeon to ultimately confront and defeat a powerful enemy. A version for the Sega Mega Drive was in development but never released. Rick Johnson (born January 2, 1961) is a former all-star quarterback in the Canadian Football League. Johnson played college football for the Southern Illinois Salukis, where he was starting quarterback on the team that won the 1983 NCAA Division I-AA Football Championship Game. He played in the United States Football League for the Oklahoma/Arizona Outlaws in 1984. He moved to Canada in 1985, and played for the Calgary Stampeders. He was a CFL All-Star in 1986. Richard Bernard "Ricky" Johnson Jr. (born July 6, 1964) is an American former professional motocross, off-road truck and stock car racer. He competed in AMA motocross and Supercross during the 1980s and, won seven AMA national championships. He later switched to off-road racing. He won the Pro 2WD Trophy Truck championship in the 1998 Championship Off-Road Racing and 2010 TORC Series. He also won the Pro 4WD class at the 2011 and 2012 TORC Series.
