Rick Brattin
Richard Ray Brattin Jr. (born July 22, 1980) is an American politician serving as a Republican state senator from the U.S. state of Missouri, representing the 31st district taking up Cass, Bates, Barton, Henry, and Vernon Counties. He is a former state representative, having served three terms in the Missouri House of Representatives. He represented Missouri's 55th Legislative District, which encompasses several suburbs of Kansas City in Cass County, including Raymore, Peculiar, and Lake Winnebago. He is currently Vice Chairman of the Corrections and Consumer Affairs committees. Early life and military career Brattin was born on July 22, 1980. He was raised in Greenwood, Missouri, and is a graduate of Lee's Summit High School. After the September 11 attacks, he joined the United States Marine Corps. Edgar Glenn Harvey Emery (May 25, 1950 – August 6, 2021) was an American businessman, engineer, and politician who served as a member of the Missouri Senate, representing parts of southwestern Missouri. Early life and education Emery was a native of Vernon County, Missouri, where his family was active in the feed and grain business. Emery earned a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology. Career From 1981 to 1984, Emery worked as an executive at Texaco. He later worked as an engineering consultant. Missouri House of Representatives Emery served as a member of the Missouri House of Representatives from 2003 to 2011, representing the 126th district. James Tower Campbell (born February 3, 1973) is an American political candidate and former professional ice hockey player. He played 285 games in the National Hockey League (NHL) for the Tampa Bay Lightning, Florida Panthers, Chicago Blackhawks, Montreal Canadiens, St. Louis Blues and Mighty Ducks of Anaheim before finishing his career in Europe. Mark Allen Alford, Sr. (born October 4, 1963) is an American politician and former television news anchor serving as the U.S. representative for since 2023. He is a member of the Republican Party. Early life and career Alford, Sr. was born in Baytown, Texas. He attended Sterling High School and the University of Texas at Austin, but left college without graduating. Missouri's 4th congressional district comprises west central Missouri. It stretches from Columbia to the southern suburbs of Kansas City, including a sliver of Kansas City itself. The district is predominantly rural and relatively conservative; George W. Bush defeated John Kerry 64% to 35% in the 2004 election and John McCain defeated Barack Obama 61% to 38% in the 2008 election. The district is currently represented by Vicky Hartzler, a Republican.
