Richard Von Szilvinyi
Richard von Szilvinyi (born 16 October 1899 in Vienna, died 28 April 1966 in Frankfurt) was a German industrialist. He was a son of the Austro-Hungarian Field Marshal Lieutenant Géza von Szilvinyi and a member of a Catholic Austro-Hungarian noble family. In 1929, he married Wera Maud Helene Katharina von Weinberg, daughter of the industrialist Carl von Weinberg and Ethel Mary Villers Forbes. His wife's family was a prominent Jewish family of industrialists from Frankfurt who owned Cassella and who had co-founded IG Farben. In 1929 he moved to Frankfurt and started working for IG Farben, where the Weinbergs had a substantial interest. From 1945 to 1952 he was leader of the Cassella works, and he became chairman of the supervisory board in 1952. He was also chairman of the supervisory board of the Frankfurter Bank from 1952. Carl von Weinberg (born September 14, 1861, in Frankfurt am Main; died March 14, 1943, near Florence) was an important Jewish German chemist, entrepreneur, patron of the arts and philanthropist. Life Carl and his brother Arthur von Weinberg, who was one year older, came from a Jewish merchant family; their father was Bernhard Weinberg. In 1880, both brothers were baptized as Protestants. Carl completed a commercial apprenticeship and in 1882, at the age of 21, like his brother, became a partner in the Leopold Cassella & Co. company, which in 1894 merged with the Frankfurt aniline dye factory founded by his uncle Leo Gans and subsequently achieved world fame as Cassella Farbwerke Mainkur in the manufacture of synthetic dyes. Georg Von Schnitzler
Georg August Eduard ''Freiherr'' von Schnitzler (29 October 1884, in Cologne – 24 May 1962, in Basel) was a member of the board at IG Farben and a Nazi war criminal. Early years Schnitzler studied law at a number of universities, eventually completing his doctorate at the University of Leipzig in 1907. After a year's travel he went to work for Bankhaus J.H. Stein of Cologne. He married Lily von Mallinckrodt in 1910. His new wife was a noted figure in German high society and Baron von Schnitzer himself was noted for his immaculate dress sense and expensive tastes in wine and the arts.
