Richard Talbot, 2nd Baron Talbot De Malahide
Richard Wogan Talbot, 2nd Baron Talbot of Malahide Privy Council of Ireland, PC (1766 – 29 October 1849), was an Anglo-Irish politician. Talbot was the son of Richard Talbot, of Malahide Castle, and Margaret Talbot, 1st Baroness Talbot of Malahide, daughter of James O'Reilly and sister of Sir Hugh O'Reilly (later Nugent), 1st Baronet, and Andreas O'Reilly von Ballinlough, Andreas O'Reilly. Thomas Talbot (Upper Canada), Thomas Talbot and John Talbot (Royal Navy officer), Sir John Talbot were his younger brothers. He was elected as the MP for Dublin County (Parliament of Ireland constituency), Dublin County in the Parliament of Ireland in May 1790, sitting until March 1791 when it was ruled that he had not been duly elected. He was returned to the Parliament of the United Kingdom as one of two representatives for County Dublin (UK Parliament constituency), County Dublin in 1807, a seat he held until 1830. ''The Right Honourable'' (abbreviation: ''Rt Hon.'' or variations) is an honorific style traditionally applied to certain persons and collective bodies in the United Kingdom, the former British Empire and the Commonwealth of Nations. The term is predominantly used today as a style associated with the holding of certain senior public offices in the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, and to a lesser extent, Australia. ''Right'' in this context is an adverb meaning 'very' or 'fully'. Grammatically, ''The Right Honourable'' is an adjectival phrase which gives information about a person.
