Richard Harrison (1646–1726) was an English politician. He was the eldest surviving son of Sir John Harrison of Balls Park, Hertford, Member of Parliament for , by his second wife Mary Shotbolt; William Harrison was his half-brother but had predeceased their father in 1643. Richard was educated at Peterhouse, Cambridge, where he matriculated in 1663 and was admitted to the Middle Temple that same year. Harrison was elected Member of Parliament in 1669, and again in 1679. Thought to favour the court in the Exclusion Crisis, he did not support James II on the throne. After the Glorious Revolution he was a non-juror. The Hudson Dusters was a New York City street gang during the early twentieth century. Formation Formed in the late 1890s by "Circular Jack", "Kid Yorke", and "Goo Goo Knox", the gang began operating from an apartment house on Hudson Street. Knox, a former member of the Gopher Gang, had fled after a failed attempt to gain leadership of the gang from then-leader Marty Brennan. However, the two gangs later became allies during the gang wars against Gay Nineties gangs, the Potashes and Boodle Gangs, soon controlling most of Manhattan's West Side as far as 13th Street and eastern Broadway, bordering Paul Kelly's Five Points Gang to the north. While the gang dominated the West Side, it constantly battled smaller rival gangs including the Fashion Plates, the Pearl Buttons, and the Marginals for control of the Hudson River docks throughout the 1900s. His main areas of interest are the European Middle Ages, including the medical history of the period and the history of slavery. Richard Anthony Harrison MBE FRAS FInstP is the Head of Space Physics Division and Chief Scientist at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory in the United Kingdom. He is best known for his magnetic twisting theory involving the coronal heating problem of the Sun's atmosphere. He was born in Solihull, West Midlands (County) and attended Solihull Sixth Form College and Birmingham University. Whilst in his late teens, and as a keen acoustic guitarist, he set up a band called Capella. Fellow band members were his brother, Jeremy, and David J Nutting. Stereolab are an Anglo- French avant-pop band formed in London in 1990. Personal life Born in Essex, he was the second son of Benjamin John Harrison and his wife Emily, daughter of Richard Hall. Harrison was educated at Harrow School.
