Richard Haig
Richard Neil Haig (born 29 December 1970) is a Welsh former professional Association football, footballer, who is manager of Trebanog FC in the Rhondda and District Football League. He was also formerly manager of Welsh Football League Division One sides Cambrian & Clydach Vale B. & G.C., Cambrian & Clydach Vale and AFC Porth. Playing career Haig began his career at Cardiff City F.C., Cardiff City, making his debut towards the end of 1988–89 season as a substitute during a match against Brentford F.C., Brentford. The following season he made four appearances, including his first start against Shrewsbury Town F.C., Shrewsbury Town, as the club suffered relegation to Football League Fourth Division, Division Four. At the end of the season, Haig was released and joined Merthyr Tydfil F.C., Merthyr Tydfil. Wattstown
Wattstown ( cy, Aberllechau) is a village located in the Rhondda Valley in the county borough of Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales. Located in the Rhondda Fach valley it is a district of the community of Ynyshir. Prior to mid 19th century industrialisation the area was once little more than a wooded area, sparsely populated by farmsteads. With the coming of the coal industry Wattstown became a busy, densely populated village, but with the closure of the collieries Wattstown suffered an economic downturn that still affects the village today. The Cymru Premier, known as the JD Cymru Premier for sponsorship reasons, is the national football league of Wales. It has both professional and semi-professional status clubs and is at the top of the Welsh football league system. The Football League Fourth Division was the fourth-highest division in the English football league system from the 1958–59 season until the creation of the Premier League prior to the 1992–93 season.
