Ricardo Nascimento
Ricardo Nuno Queirós Nascimento (born 19 April 1974) is a Portuguese retired footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. He amassed Primeira Liga totals of 102 matches and 11 goals over seven seasons, in representation of Boavista, Varzim, Gil Vicente, Braga and Rio Ave. He added 182 matches and 34 goals in the Segunda Liga, and also spent two years in South Korea. Club career Born in Vila Nova de Gaia, Porto District, Nascimento started his professional career with Leixões SC, competing with the club in the second division. He went on to make 283 league appearances for a host of teams in his country, including Boavista FC, Varzim SC, Gil Vicente F.C. and S.C. Braga; prior to the two latter sides, in 2000–01, he had his first abroad experience, with Montpellier HSC: the French promoted from Ligue 2, but the player only played seven matches in the entire campaign. Vila Nova De Gaia
Vila Nova de Gaia (; cel-x-proto, Cale), or simply Gaia, is a city and a municipality in Porto District in Norte Region, Portugal. It is located south of the city of Porto on the other side of the Douro River. The city proper had a population of 178,255 in 2001. The municipality has an area of 168.46 km². and a total population of 302,295 inhabitants (2011), making it the most populous municipality in Norte Region. 2005 K League
The 2005 K League was the 23rd season of the K League. It kicked off on May 15, and was finished on 4 December. The format of the regular season and championship playoffs was the same as the one used in the 2004 season. Busan IPark won the first stage, and the second stage was won by Seongnam Ilhwa Chunma. Two winners were guaranteed their slot in the end-of-season playoffs. Incheon United and Ulsan Hyundai Horang-i also joined the playoffs according to the overall table after two stages. In the semi-finals Ulsan defeated Seongnam 2–1, and Incheon defeated Busan 2–0. The two victorious teams faced each other in the two-legged championship final. Ulsan won the first leg 5–1 at the Incheon stadium, and though Incheon won the second leg 2–1, Ulsan lifted their second league title 6–3 on aggregate. 2006 Korean League Cup
The 2006 Korean League Cup, also known as the 2006 Samsung Hauzen Cup, was the 19th competition of the Korean League Cup. It was a League Cup, but was run like a league format in this year. All teams played each other once, playing 13 matches each. Samsung Hauzen Cup is the alternative competition of K League during the activity of the South Korea national team. The 2006 edition was held during summer, allowing the top K League players to focus on the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany. The 2007–08 Liga de Honra season was the 18th season of the competition and the 74th season of recognised second-tier football in Portugal. The season was started on 18 August 2007. The fixtures (or schedule of games to be played) were announced on 12 July 2007. Fátima and Freamunde were promoted to the Liga Vitalis. The first goalscorer of the season was Tatu, who scored a 4th-minute goal for Desportivo das Aves against Olhanense in, one of the four games, the kick-off that ended 1–2 for Olhanense. In professional association football, a free transfer, also known as a Bosman transfer, involves a professional association football club releasing a player when the player's contract has expired or made available just before the end of the contract. The player can then go on to sign for any club offering a contract to them. How it works The club acquiring the player does not have to pay any compensation for their release due to having nothing left to pay on their contract, hence, the term free transfer.
