Ricardo Mollo
Ricardo Mollo (born August 17, 1957) is an Argentine musician, producer, singer and composer of Argentinian rock. Career Mollo became known in the 1980s as the guitarist of Sumo, with whom he released four studio albums until 1987, when the vocalist of the group, Luca Prodan, died of liver cirrhosis. After Sumo, with the bassist Diego Arnedo, he formed the band Divididos. He is considered one of the best musicians and guitarists of Argentine rock. He is also known for his virtuosity on the guitar, and particularly for his version of " Voodoo Child" by Jimi Hendrix, which he has played on his guitar using his teeth or objects thrown by the public including carrots, slippers, sandals, tennis balls, or canes for the blind. Funk
Funk is a music genre that originated in African American communities in the mid-1960s when musicians created a rhythmic, danceable new form of music through a mixture of various music genres that were popular among African Americans in the mid-20th century. It de-emphasizes melody and chord progressions and focuses on a strong rhythmic groove of a bassline played by an electric bassist and a drum part played by a percussionist, often at slower tempos than other popular music. Carrots
The carrot (''Daucus carota'' subsp. ''sativus'') is a root vegetable, typically orange in color, though purple, black, red, white, and yellow cultivars exist, all of which are domesticated forms of the wild carrot, ''Daucus carota'', native to Europe and Southwestern Asia. The plant probably originated in Persia and was originally cultivated for its leaves and seeds. The most commonly eaten part of the plant is the taproot, although the stems and leaves are also eaten. Érica GarcÃa (born 6 April 1968) is an Argentinian composer, singer and an actress. She was nominated in the Latin Grammy Awards of 2000 for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance for her popular tune "Vete Destino." While best known as a rock singer she also sings tango music and jazz. She has worked as a writer, painter, fashion designer and television personality among other creative endeavors. Part of her ancestry can be traced to the Guaranà people. Luis Alberto Spinetta (23 January 1950 – 8 February 2012), nicknamed "El Flaco" (Spanish for "skinny"), was an Argentine singer, guitarist, composer and poet. Los Piojos were an Argentine rock band. Extremely popular, it became one of the seminal bands of the 1990s Argentine music scene. Gustavo Adrián Cerati (11 August 1959 – 4 September 2014) was an Argentine singer-songwriter, composer and producer, considered one of the most important and influential figures of Ibero-American rock. Cerati along with his band Soda Stereo, were one of the most popular and influential rock and pop groups of the 1980s and 1990s. Cerati was the recipient of many awards throughout his career including various Grammys, MTV awards, as well as the MTV (Latin America) Legend Award with Soda Stereo, the first of its kind. Charly GarcÃa (born Carlos Alberto GarcÃa, October 23, 1951) is an Argentine singer-songwriter, musician and record producer. He formed and headlined two of the most popular bands in Argentina's rock history: Sui Generis in the 1970s and Serú Girán in the 1980s, plus cult status groups like progressive-rock act La Máquina de Hacer Pájaros and folk rock supergroup PorSuiGieco, both also in the 1970s. Cuca (band)
Cuca is a Mexican alternative metal band from Guadalajara, Jalisco that was formed in 1989 by musician and painter José Fors (vocals). Their first official concert, according to the band, was on February 14, 1990. Their first record, '' La Invasión de los Blátidos'' (1992), set them apart from any other Mexican band, since the album contained irreverent, humorous, curse-word laden lyrics and an aggressive sound that, at the time, was not expected in Mexican music. "Cuca" is an apocope for ''cucaracha'' (cockroach), and ''blátidos'' means blattodea, which is the scientific name given to cockroaches. In 1999, the band split up for unspecified reasons.
